8 GB iPod docking Y our cradle ha s a n iPod dock facility which allows you to play digital audio folders a nd video soundtrack s held on your iPod using the headphone of your cradle. Y our cradle uses the iPod U niversal Dock connector developed f or use with iPods.
9 Docking your iPod by dock ada pter Pla ce the iPod U niversal Dock Ada pter into the iPod docking recess so that it is securely seated. 1. Carefully pla ce your iPod onto the U niversal Dock connector . 2. Press the On / Sta ndby button to switch on your cradle.
10 GB Docking your iPod by dock adjuster This unit comes with the iPod dock adjuster . iPod ada ptors are not supplied. 1. Press a nd turn the iPod dock adjuster dial to move slide door ba ckwards until end. 2. Carefully pla ce your iPod onto the cra dle.
11 Playing a folder on your iPod T o navigate iPod menus to make selection s or to cha nge settings, you should use your iPod controls. The cra dle controls ca n be used for Fa st-forward / Rewind a nd Play / Pause functions. 1. Use the Menu button to navigate to higher level menus on your iPod.
12 GB Using SD cards or USB me mory device s Secure Digital (SD or SDHC) cards or USB me mory devices ca n be used with the MMC-96i RS for playba ck of MP3 or WMA f olders. The SD card re a der a nd USB ports are located on the right side of the cradle.
13 Playing MP3 / WMA folders - SD / USB 1. Press the Play / Pause button to start playing from the SD card / USB memory device. 2. T o pause playing press the Play / Pause button. T o resume playing press the Play / Pause button again. 3. T o stop play , press the Stop button.
14 GB Re pe at a single tra ck 1. While the SD card / USB memory device is playing, press a nd relea se the Repeat button on the remote control until the re pe at single tra ck symbol ( ) a ppears on the display . The current tra ck will be repeated. Re pe at one f older 2.
15 Re pe at in iPod mode 1. While the iPod is playing, press a nd relea se the Repeat button so the repeat one song symbol ( ) a ppears on the iPod display . One song will repeat continually. 2. Press a nd rele a se the Repeat button a se cond ti me and the all songs symbol ( ) will a ppear on the iPod display .
16 GB Intro 1. While the SD card / USB memory device is playing, press a nd relea se the Random button until the symbol ( ) a ppears on the display a nd the tra ck information is introduced. 2. While the SD card / USB memory device is playing, press a nd relea se the Ra ndom button until the tra ck introduction symbol ( ) a ppears on the display .
17 Shuffle in iPod mode 1. While the iPod is playing, press a nd relea se the Random button so the Ra ndom symbol ( ) a ppears on the iPod display a nd the shuffle function begins. The tra cks in the current album or playlist will be played in ra ndom when shuf fle is ena bled.
18 GB V olume control 1. Adjust the volume control to the required setting. 2. Rotate the control clockwise to increa se the volume level or a nti-clockwise to decre a se volume level. 3. Press the V olume Up button to raise the volume or V olume Down button to lower the volume until you rea ch the desired volume setting.
19 Slee p function Y our cradle ca n be set to turn off after a preset ti me ha s ela psed. The sleep setting ca n be a djusted between 15 a nd 120 minutes. 1. Press the On / Sta ndby button to switch on the cradle. 2. T o use the sleep ti mer , press a nd relea se the Sleep set button to enter the sleep setup.
20 GB Ina ctive brightne ss control The brightness of the display when the unit is in switch-on mode may be adjusted. If you use the unit in the bedroom, you may prefer a lower sta ndby brightne ss level tha n the sta ndard setting. 1. Press the On / Sta ndby button to switch on the cradle.
21 System re set If your cradle fails to operate correctly, or some digits on the display are missing or incomplete carry out the following procedure. 1. Press the On / Sta ndby button to switch on the cradle. 2. Press a nd hold the Menu button so that the display shows “Set Brightness” on the lower line of the text display.
22 GB Software version The software version display cannot be altered a nd is provided for reference only. 1. Press the On / Sta ndby button to switch on the cradle. 2. T o view the software version in stalled in your cradle, pre ss a nd relea se the Menu button so that software version will a ppear on the display.
23 He adphone ja ck A 3.5mm stereo He a dphone ja ck located on the rear of your cra dle is provided for use with either he adphones or a n earpiece. Important: Excessive sound pressure from earphone s a nd he adphone s ca n cause hearing loss. Line-out ja ck A 3.
24 Cautions Do not allow this cradle to be exposed to water , stea m or sa nd. Do not leave your cra dle where excessive heat could cause da mage such a s in a parked car where the heat from the sun ca n build up even though the outside temperature may not seem too high.
