Black 0004 Black 0004 1 . THE DVS-1 200 SECURIT Y S Y S TEM CONSOLE The DVS-1200 Console is the heart of the system. It monitors all of the system’s wireless sensors and controls the alarm sirens. The Console cons tantly monitors the condition of the system’s sensors, displaying which protected doors and windows are open or closed.
Black 0005 Black 0005 DOOR/WINDOW SENSORS The DXS-31 sensors monitor doors and windows. They se nd radio signals to the Console. One type of signal is sent when the door or window is opened, and a different type of signal is sent when the do or or window is closed .

Black 0012 Black 0012 TELEPHONE LINE CO NNECTION (OPTIONAL) ◆ Connect the Console to the telephone line if the system is monitored, requires 2-way audio, or requires telephone remo te command. ◆ Telephone ring & tip terminals are for connection to th e incoming telephon e line.
Black 0013 Black 0013 CONSOLE POWER CONNECTION ◆ The Console is powered by a low voltage plug-in transformer. ◆ Use up to 25 feet of 20 AWG or larger two-conductor wire to con nect the transformer to the Console. Route the power wires from the plug-in transformer to the Console.
Black 0014 Black 0014 6. BASIC CONSOLE PROGRAMMING ◆ In a new installation, when power is first applied, the Console’s master user code is “1234”. CHANGE TH E MASTER USER CODE ✍ NO TE : Local programming must be entered on the Console’s keypad, not on a wirel ess remote keypad.

Black 0028 Black 0028 CHANGING A SENSORS SUPERVISION ◆ When a sensor is programmed, the Con sole automatically recognizes it as supervised o r non-supervised. ◆ The Console ex pects hourly status transmiss ions from any sensor programmed as supervised.
Black 0029 Black 0029 FIRE SIREN TIME ◆ The factory-set fire siren time is five minutes (UL installation maximum). ◆ The fire siren time can be adjusted from on e to 30 minutes. AUTOMATION OUTPUT TIME ◆ The factory setting causes the Automatio n Output to toggle between on and off with each activation.

Black 0033 Black 0033 ADDITIONAL USER CODES ◆ The Console can be programmed with five restricted user codes and one page ale rt user code. ◆ The additional codes operate the system as usual, but cannot access Setup Mode.

Black 0035 Black 0035 GENERAL COMMUNICATOR OPTIONS COMMUNICATOR ENABLE ◆ The factory setting for the Console disables the communicator. If th e system is going to be a non-monitored, local alarm only, leave the communicator disabled.

This allows the co mmunicator to report burglary alarms, once for each sensor, as many times as they are triggered. ◆ Optionally, the Console can be prog rammed to only allow five burglary reports to tal per arming pe riod.
Black 0037 Black 0037 COMMUNICATOR REPORTING OPTIONS REPORTING FORMAT ◆ The factory setting causes the commu nicator to report using th e 4 by 2 format. This format allows four-digit accoun t numbers from 0000 to 9999 and provides two -digit alarm codes.
Black 0038 Black 0038 ACCOUNT NUMBER ◆ The communicator’s account numb er entered must be 4-digits lon g. ◆ The factory setting for th e account number is 0000. ◆ Enter an account n umber from 0000 to 9999. PRIMARY TELEPHONE NUMBER ◆ The primary Central Sta tion telephone number can be up to 20-digits lo ng.

These include all con ditions that light th e Console’s BATTERIES or TROUBLE indicator.
Black 0040 Black 0040 COMMUNICATOR REPORTING CODES ◆ The two-digit communicator reportin g code for each event has a factory set value. These values may be customized to fit the specific installation and the reporting requirements of the Central Station monitoring the system.
Black 0041 Black 0041 FORCE ARMING REPORTING CODE ◆ Programming S tep #258 ◆ The factory set reporting code for force arming is “65” (Code 574 with Ad emco). ◆ Any value from 0-99 can be programmed for this event (0 = no report). ✍ NOTE: For force arming reporting, force arming reports must be enabled.
