6 Knowing Y our T el evision Set F r ont Controls f or MTV68A Remote contr ol sensor : If r emote contr ol unit within an effective oper ating range, the unit can be oper ated. Remote indicator light : When the unit is on, the indicat or is lighted. Power button : T o turn unit on, pres s the button and the indicator will light up.

9 Battery Installation The r emote contr ol unit uses two AA batteries. F or battery installation and r eplacement, r ead the foll owing. 1. T urn the remot e contr ol unit upside down. Pres s down on the grip of the battery compartment and slide the cov er in the direction of the arr ow .
10 MENU 1 - A. Pr ess [MENU 1] k ey continuously, menu scr een will appear as foll ows: B. Pr ess [P+] [P-] k ey, cursor up or down. Pr ess [V+] [V-] k ey, change value for sel ection . Note: Tint only f or NTSC system. Auto Sear ch Function Automatic Sear ch and Memory (ASM) for pr ogram installation fr om Antenna input.
11 Fine FUNCTION: Fine T uning for current setting. May be used to tune weak stations. A. Pr ess [MENU 1] k ey repeat edly to sel ect “PRESET”. B. Using [P+] or [P-] ke y, select “PROGRAM.”. Using [V+] or [V-] change Pr ogram Number . C. Using [P+] or [P-] key, sel ect “FINE TUNE”.
12 1. Pow er ON /OFF Firstl y, the power supply of the unit mus t be switched at the power switch on the tel evision set. This st atus is called Stand-By mode. Whil e in standby mode, the TV can be turned on/off via the r emote contr ol by pr essing the ON/ OFF button or alternativel y the [P+]/[P-] ke ys on the TV set.

14 10. Sl eep Pr ess [SLEEP] r epeatedly . Sleep time will c ount up as foll ows: • T o exit sl eep mode, continue pr essing SLEEP until “--” appears. • T o set sleep mode, sel ect time. The TV will go into standby mode after the time sel ected has lapsed.
15 Normal Operation 13. MENU 2 Pr ess [MENU 2] k ey, “MENU 2” will appear . Pr ess the k ey again, “MENU 2” will disappear . Use the [P+]/[P-] ke ys to select fr om the foll owing: PIC.ENHANCE / SWAP PROG / BIO RHYTHM / CALENDAR. Using [V+]/[V-] ke y enter item.
