10 Tips for maintaining maxim um battery life 1. Charge the batter y car tridge bef ore completely dis- charged. Alwa ys stop tool operation and charge the batter y car- tridge when you notice less tool pow er . 2. Ne ver recharge a fully charged batter y cart ridge.
11 Switch action CA UTION: • Bef ore inser ting the batter y car tridge into the tool, alwa ys check to see that the s witch trigger actuates properly and retur ns to the “ OFF ” position when released. T o star t the tool, simply pull the s witch tr igger .
12 ASSEMBL Y CA UTION: • Alwa ys be sure that the tool is s witched off and the batter y car tridge is remov ed before carrying out any work on the tool. Installing or remo ving driver bit or socket bit Use only the driver bit or soc ket bit shown in the figure .
13 Hold the tool fir mly and place the point of the driv er bit in the screw head. Apply f orward pressure to the tool to the e xtent that the bit will not slip off the screw and turn the tool on to star t operation. NO TE: • Use the proper bit f or the head of the screw/bolt that you wish to use.
14 MAINTENANCE CA UTION: • Alwa ys be sure that the tool is s witched off and the batter y car tridge is remov ed before attempting to perf or m inspection or maintenance. Replacing carbon brushes Remov e and check the carbon brushes regularl y . Replace when they w ear down to the limit mark.
