9 Charging For DC9710 1. Plug the batter y charger into the proper A C voltage source. 2. Inser t the battery car tr idge so that the plus and min us terminals on the batter y car tridge are on the same sides as their respective markings on the charger .
10 For DC1414 1. Plug the batter y charger into the proper A C voltage source. The charging light will flash in green color . 2. Inser t the battery car tr idge so that the plus and min us terminals on the batter y car tridge are on the same sides as their respective markings on the charger .
11 T rickle char ge (Maintenance charge) If you lea ve the battery car tridge in the charger to prev ent spontaneous discharging after full charge, the charger will s witch into its “ tr ic kle charge (maintenance charge) ” mode and keep the battery car tridge fresh and fully charged.
12 Rever sing switch action This tool has a re versing s witch to change the direction of rotation. Mov e the rev ersing switch le ver to the A side f or clockwise rotation or the B side f or counterclockwise rotation. When the re versing s witch lev er is in the neutral position, the s witch tr igger cannot be pulled.
13 Installing set plate (optional accessory) Alwa ys install the set plate when using batter y car tridges 9100, 9102, 9101A fo r DA392D and 1200, 1202, 1201A f or D A312D .
14 Drilling in metal T o prev ent the bit from slipping when star ting a hole, make an indentation with a center-punch and hammer at the point to be drilled. Place the point of the bit in the indentation and star t drilling. Use a cutting lubricant when dr illing metals .
