8 FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION Installing or removing battery cartridge • Alwa ys switch off the tool bef ore inser tion or remov al of the batter y cartr idge. • T o remove the battery car tridge, open the cov er and withdra w it from the tool while pressing the buttons on both sides of the car tridge.
9 NO TE: • The batter y charger is f or charging Makita batter y car tridge. Ne ver use it f or other pur poses or f or other manuf acturer ’ s batteries. • When you charge a ne w batter y car tridge or a batter y car tridge which has not been used for a long period of time, it ma y not accept a full charge.
10 Switch action CA UTION: • Bef ore inser ting the batter y car tridge into the tool, alwa ys check to see that the s witch trigger actuates properly and retur ns to the “ OFF ” position when released. T o star t the tool, simply pull the switch trigger .
11 When concreting a slope site, alw ays pour from the bottom at the beginning. This wa y the weight of the freshly poured con- crete and vibration will lead to eff ective remo val of air bu b- bles . Conversely , if the pour ing is done first from abov e, the mor tar will separate and e ventually slide to the bottom.
