Section 4 Maintenance Part Number 80-1561-3 4-1 Section 4 Maintenance General Y ou are responsible for main t aining the ic e mach ine in accordance with the instru ctions in this manual.
Maintenance Section 4 4-2 Part Number 80-1561-3 Guardian ™ Slime is a lead ing cause of ice machine breakdowns and biological growth is a health concer n. The Guardian ™ system releases chlorine dioxide on a controlled basis to inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi that form slime and cause malodors in the food z one of ice ma chines.
Section 4 Maintenance Part Number 80-1561-3 4-3 Interior Cleani ng and Sanitizing GENERAL Clean and san itize the ice machine every six month s for efficient oper ation. If the ice machine requires more frequent cleaning and saniti zing, consu lt a qualified service company to test the water quality and recommend appropria te water treatment.
Maintenance Section 4 4-4 Part Number 80-1561-3 SANITIZING PROCEDURE Use sanitizer to remove algae or slime. Do not use it to remove lime scale or other mineral de posits. Ste p 1 Set the toggle sw itch to the OFF position af ter ice falls from the evaporator at the end of a Harvest cycle.
