When cleaning the surf aces of discs, alwa ys be sure to use the special cleaner and wipe the surf aces in the directions shown in the figure belo w .

9 ENGLISH NAMES AND FUNCTIONS REAR P ANEL A ANALOG OUTPUTS UNB ALANCED connectors These are the unbalanced output jacks of the analog audio signals. The analog connection cord can be connected to the CD , A UX, or other connectors on an amplifier . Be sure to connect the L and R channels correctly to the corresponding jacks .
10 ENGLISH In this instruction manual, some operations can only be perf or med with the remote control. For oper ations that can be perf or med with buttons both on the main unit and on the remote control, the button names are sho wn in the mark.
11 ENGLISH ¤5 RECALL/SCROLL button Use this button to scroll te xt while displaying te xt inf or mation in a Super A udio CD disc that suppor ts TEXT . This button is also used f or checking the progr ammed trac ks dur ing a program or when a progr am is stopped.
12 ENGLISH CONNECTIONS Depending on your amplifier/receiv er/Stereo System, there are various wa ys to connect to this play er . For correct connection please ref er to instr uction manuals of stereo system to be connected. Caution: Do not connect output from this unit to PHONO input of your audio system.
13 ENGLISH CONNECTIONS 1. Connect the audio cab le q to this unit’ s front speaker outputs and the stereo inputs on your amplifier , receiv er or stereo system. 2. Connect the optical cab le w , coaxial cab le e to the digital input on your A V amplifier , D/A converter , CD-R, etc.
14 ENGLISH T o star t playbac k form the fi rst trac k Press PLA Y button. T o stop playback Press ST OP button. T o eject disc Press OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc tr ay and take the disc off . Press the button again to close the tra y . Disc tra y must be closed when the unit is not be used.

17 ENGLISH OPERA TION PLA YING TRA CKS IN A RANDOM SEQUENCE (RANDOM PLA Y) When RANDOM button on the remote is pressed in stop mode, and then PLA Y button is pressed, the unit shuffles trac k order automatically and plays all the trac ks in the shuffled order .
18 ENGLISH OPERA TION T o Check the Programmed T rac ks Press the RECALL/SCROLL button on the remote control during the program or when the program is stopped (“PR OG” lights up). Every time press RECALL/SCROLL button, the prog rammed trac ks will be displayed one after the other in order .
19 ENGLISH OPERA TION QUICK REPLA Y When QUICK REPLA Y button is pressed during pla yback, the unit goes back to the amount of time set b y the MENU and star ts playbac k from there.
20 ENGLISH OPERA TION MAKING Y OUR F A V ORITE A UDIO SETTINGS The settings can be made using the remote control. The settings are retained e ven if the power is turned off so that you can alwa ys enjoy tr acks with your f av or ite characteristics. T o change the settings again, make the changes using the same procedure.
21 ENGLISH OPERA TION r Filter operations The filter settings can be made while the trac k is stopped. The filters shown in the table belo w are availab le for pro viding di stinctive filtering according to the operation and Audio CD or Super A udio CD .
22 ENGLISH OPERA TION USING A MASTER CLOCK GENERA T OR WHEN PLA YING DISCS The master cloc k generator In digital de vices such as CD players or super audio CDs , there is a process that samples or restores the analog signal. In order to conduct this process, a cloc k signal (sampling frequency) is used.
