8 INST ALL A TION OF THE TRIMMER HEAD NOTE: If y our unit has a plas tic c ov er over the threads on the threaded s haft, remov e the cov ering to ex pos e the threads . Befor e instal- ling the trimmer head, mak e s ure the dus t cup and retaining was her are pos itioned on the gearbox .
9 9. Remov e the s cr ewdriv er . 10 . Turn blade by hand . If the blade bi nds agains t the s hield, or appears to be unev en, the blade is not c enter ed, and you mus t re - inst all. NOTE: T o rem o ve bl ad e , in sert scre wd rive r into aligned holes .
10 1. Set unit on a flat s urfac e. 2. Slow ly pr ess the primer bulb 6 times . 3. Move the start le ver to the ST ART position. 4. Pull start er rope handle s harply until en- gine star ts and runs . 5. Allow unit to r un for 10 - - 15 s ec onds , then fully squee ze the th rottle t rigger to di sen - gage the s tart ing s ys tem.
