6 It is normal for the fuel filt er to r attle in the empty fuel tank . Finding fuel or oil res idue on muffler is normal due to c arburet or adjust ments and testing done by t he manufactur er .

11 CUTTING METHODS WAR N I N G : Us e minimum speed and do not cr owd the line w hen c utting ar ound hard objects (r ock , grav el, fenc e posts , etc.), whic h can damage the t rimmer head, bec ome entangled in the line, or be thr own caus ing a ser ious hazard.
12 S WHEN BLADE THRUST OCC URS -- Blade Thr ust c an oc cur w ithout warning if the blade snags , stalls , or binds. This is more likely to oc cur in areas where it is difficult to see t he material being c ut. By using the unit properly, the oc cur renc e of blade thrus t will be reduc ed and the operator w ill be less lik ely to los e c ontrol.

C lean the cov er and the area around it to keep dir t from f alling into t he car buretor chamber w hen the c over is remov ed.
14 WAR N I N G : Nev er use wire, r ope, str ing, etc ., whic h c an break off and bec ome a dangerous mis sile. 5. When i nstalling new line on an ex isting spool, hold t he s pool as s hown. 6. B end the line at the midpoint and ins ert the bend into the slot in the c enter rim of the s pool.
15 BLADE REPLACEMENT Refer to the A SSEMBL Y section for blade r e- placement ins truc tions and illustrations . CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT WAR N I N G : Keep others aw ay when making idle s peed adjustments . The t rimmer head will be spinning dur ing mos t of this pro- cedur e.
