2 Before using the unit, be sure to read all operat- ing instructions carefully . Please note that these are general precautions and may not pertain to your unit. For example, this unit may not have the capability to be connected to an outdoor antenna.

6 INST ALLA TION CAUTION: T O PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK, MA TCH WIDE BLADE OF PLUG TO WIDE SLOT , FULL Y INSERT . Unravel the AC cord and connect it to a conve- niently located AC outlet having 120V and 60Hz only . The Clock Display will illuminate and “12:00” will appear in the window .
7 OPERA TION Press the POWER/ALARM RESET button 1 to turn the unit on; the POWER indicator will light. Slide the FUNCTION switch 2 to the AM or FM position. 1 2 1 T une a station by turning the TUNING control 1 . When a strong FM stereo signal is received the FM Stereo indi- cator will light.
8 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) Insert a CD as described on the previous page. Press the POWER/ALARM RESET button 1 to turn the unit on; the POWER indicator will light. Slide the FUNCTION switch 2 to the CD position (the total number of tracks will appear in the display).
9 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) Press the POWER/ALARM RESET button 1 to turn the unit on; the POWER indicator will light. Slide the FUNCTION switch 2 to the CD posi- tion.
10 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) Press the POWER/ALARM RESET button 1 to turn the unit on; the POWER indicator will light. Slide the FUNCTION switch 2 to the CD posi- tion. Press the PROG. button 3 once; “P 01” will appear in the display and the PROGRAM indicator will blink.
11 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) TO SET OR RESET THE ACTUAL TIME Press and hold the desired ALARM button (AL1 or AL2). 1 While holding the desired ALARM but- ton 1 , press the SKI P/HOU R n button 2 to set the desired alarm hour and the SKIP /MINUTE o button 3 to set the desired alarm minute.
12 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) Set the alarm time as previously instructed. Slide the FUNCTION switch 1 to the AM or FM position, select a radio station and make sure the VOLUME 2 is set as desired.
13 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) Set the alarm time as previously instr ucted. Slide the Alarm switch to the AL1, AL2 orAL1 + AL2 position. 1 Slide the BUZZER/MUSIC/ALARM OFF switch to the BUZZER position and make sure the power is off. When the actual time matches the selected preset alarm time(s), the unit automatically turns on.
14 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) T une the desired radio station or insert a CD as previously instructed and press the POWER/ALARM RESET button to turn the unit on; the POWER indicator will light. 1 Press the SLEEP button and “--” will appear on the clock display , then release the button; the SLEEP indicator will blink.
15 CARE AND MAINTENANCE Caring for Compact Discs • T reat the disc carefully . Handle the disc only by its edges. Never allow your fingers to come in contact with the shiny , unprinted side of the disc. • Do not attach adhesive tape, stickers, etc.
