Follow the instruc tion s that apply to your server , and then follow the instructions to connect other com puters to it.
Ex isting Ser ver Mi gration If you alre ady hav e a Windows Ser v er domain, you can migrat e the inform ation on your existing server to the new ser ver . Y our existing ser ver is known as your source ser ver , and your new server is known as your destination server .
If you choose a migr ation install ation, you must thoroughly plan the migration and then prepare your sourc e server and destinati on ser v er as descri bed in the informati on at http:/ /g o.

Com mon Net w orking Device s Broadban d modem Enables your net work to connec t to the Internet through your Internet servi ce provider (ISP) . Firewall Helps secure your loca l net work from una uthorized access from the I nternet. Router Sends , or routes , infor mation b etwee n your net work and another net work, such as the Internet.
T o connect y our ser ver to the net work: 1. P lug one end of a net work cable into the net work adapt er on your ser ver and the other end into the int ernal (local) i nterface on your router . IMPOR T ANT: Ensure that the networ k cabl e remains connected througho ut th e entire installatio n.
