Child Safety Feature The Child Safety Feature can be acti- vated to prevent the oven being tur ned on unintentio nally by children. Oven Operation Description of the cook ing modes Convection This mode c ooks by c irculating the heated air over and around the food. The convection fan/heate r combination located on the rear wall of th e oven blows he ated air thro ugh ope nings i n the r ear pan el of the oven .
Oven Operation Description of the cook ing modes Defrosti ng Defrosting can be done witho ut heat or at a temperatu re of up to 120 ° F (50 ° C). When De frosting without h eat, the circu- lated air will be at room temperature.
Oven operation Controls The oven controls consis t of the Oven Mode Selector and push butto ns. Oven Mode Selector Use this control to sele ct the desired cooking mode. The selecto r can be t urned clockwise or counter -clockwise. Mode selector on U SA models: The mode select ed will illuminate.

T emperature or time can be a ltered in increments, by pressing the “– /+ ” but- ton briefly , or more rapidly by holding the button in. “–” butt on: T o select a lower temperature, earlie r time or shor ter period.

Oven operation Minute Minder The Minute Minder ca n be used to time any kitchen pr ocess (boil ing eggs, for example). The Minute Mindera lso functions inde- pendently of othe r oven processes. T o enter t he time Press the " l " button . Enter the desired time in hours and minutes using th e " – /+" button.
T imer operation The timer can: – show the time of day and – turn the oven on and off automati- cally . Push buttons With the push buttons yo u can: – enter the start time of a cooking process. – enter the duration of a cooking pro- cess. – enter the end time of a c ooking pro- cess.

Programming the oven Choose a cook ing mode using the Oven Mode Select or . The indicator lamp in t he center of the " – /+" button will ill uminate.
T imer Operation Setting the timer for automatic cooking. There are three distinct w ays that the timer can be used to control the cook- ing pr ocess: 1. The desired cooking time (dura- tion) can be selected. This causes the oven to tur n off automatically after a ma- nual st art.
T imer Operation To finish cooking at a selected time: Enter the cooking dur ation and finish time. T u rn t he Oven Mo de Selector to the desir ed setting. Enter the de sired cooking duration. Press the " g " (duration) butt on. "0:00" will appear in the display .
T imer Operation T o change the programming Press the appropriate button. Enter the desired changes using the " – /+" button . When the indicator l amp in the cen ter of the " – /+ " button go es out, the changes are stored. The time of day will reappear in the display .
Programming the oven Cer tain oven funct ions can be modified by accessing the programming mode as follows: Set the Oven Mode Selector to "0" . Open the oven door . While pressing the " p " button, tu rn the Oven Mode Select or to "Light".
Baking Recommendations The following sett ings are r ecom- mend ed for bak ing: – Convectio n – Intensi ve Baking – T op & Bottom Heat Baking using the "C onvec- tion" mode Most types of heat-resistant pans or dishes are suitable for con vection bak- ing, including thin-wa lled and non-re- flective metal molds.

Roasting Recommendations Calculating t he roasting time: Depending on the ty pe of meat being roasted, the tradition al method is to allow 15 to 20 minut es per poun d, ad- justing the time as roasting pr ogresses to obtain the desired result.
Roasting Recommendations Roasting using the Roast Probe Use of t he roast probe enables th e roasting process to be mo nitored sim- ply and reliably . The tip of the probe measures the core temperature at the cente r of the meat while it is cooking. When the pr e-sele cted cor e tempera- ture is reached, the oven automatic ally tur ns itself off.

If the s elected core temperat ure or oven mode is altered after this point, the time remaining will be canceled and the core temperature will reappear .

Defrosting in the oven We recommend defrosting at room tem- perature (oven t emperature set to 0 ° ). An oven te mperature of up to 120 ° F/50 ° C can be selecte d, however . Where possible, remove the packa- ging and put the food into an appro- priate dish .

Broiling Three broiling options are available in the oven: Broiling 1 For broiling small qua ntities of t hin cuts of meat and for browning small dishes of food. Only th e inner par t of the upper heating element is energized. Broiling 2 For broiling large quan tities or t hick cuts of meat and f or browning food in large dishes.
Broilin g Preparing the food – Clean and season th e meat. – Add a littl e oil if necessa ry . Other fats will quickly become bla ck or cause the food t o smoke.

Cleaning and care Oven door and control panel Use a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent or hot soa p and water solu tion. Wipe dry with a soft cloth. Do not use a sco uring agent, as this may scratch the gl ass. For white ovens, w e recommend clean- ing the following af ter each use: – the oven door handle a nd – the control panel.
Cleaning and care Oven interior The interior ov en sur faces are coated with ei ther: b "Clean-Enamel" , or c catalytic ename l. The oven s hould be cleaned regu- larly , preferably after each use. If left dir ty for too lon g, cleaning will become unnece ssarily difficult and in extreme cases, impossible .
Cleaning and care c Catalytic En amel This type of ename l coating causes grease and oil deposits to carboniz e and "bur n off" at temper atures above 390 ° F (200 ° C). The higher the tempe ra- ture, the more effective this process becomes.
Cleaning and care Oven Interior For ease of cle aning, the oven door , the runne rs and the back panel can be removed and the to p heating e lement lower ed. T o remove the o ven door: Open the door fully . Flip up the clamps on each doo r hinge. Slowly shut the door un til the pro - tuding clamps stop the movement .
Cleaning and care T o remove th e back pan el Loosen th e 4 nuts (bla ck arr ows) holding the back panel and remove it. The oven must not be used wit hout the back panel inst alled. The ex- posed fan and heat ing element could be damaged or cause per- sonal injur y .
Correcting minor problems Installation, main tenance and re- pairs to t he electr ical components of this appliance should only be per- form ed by trained personnel. Unauthorize d repairs can be dan- gerous. Some minor problems can be easily corrected as follows: What to do if .
Correcting minor problems Remove and ex change the halogen lamp: 12 V , 10 W , heat resistant up to 57 2 ° F/300 ° C. Press the lamp socket back in to the sidewall of the oven and r eplac e the lamp cover . Reassemble the ove n in the r everse order , making su re that all the parts ar e in plac e.
Correcting minor problems . . . uneve n browning occurs. A slight unevennes s is nor mal, espe- cially when cook ing on several levels. If the item bein g baked is browning ver y unevenly , and yo u are using the “ Convection ” mode, ch eck: that the ov en temperat ure was not set too high, or that th e grease filter is not ins talled.
Correcting minor problems If "F8" appears in the display , the convectio n fan has stopped tu rning. If "F9" appea rs in the display , the maximum te mperatu re of th e oven has been exceeded, and the oven has tur ned itself off automati cally .
