SM A R T CAT5 SW ITCH 16 IP . 5 4. Configuration via local console There are two ways of doing this: (A) Connect the NULL m odem cable to the com puter’s Seria l port and to Smart 16 I P’s Serial 1 port. Use any Terminal software to con nect to Smart 16 I P.

SM A R T CAT5 SW ITCH 16 IP . 7 Host system mouse settings The host ope rating system has various set tings for the mouse driv er. Smart 16 I P works w ith accelerat ed mic e and is able to synchron ize the host w ith th e client mouse point er. This is further discu ssed on page 14.
