EN-8 Remote contr ol Battery installatio n Use two (A A, R6) size b atteries. 1. Remov e the back cov er of the remote contr ol by pushing the battery compartment door in the direction of the arrow . 2. Load the batteries making sure that the y are positioned correctly (+ to +, and - to -) .

EN-10 Basic connections This projector can be connected with va rious devices such as a VCR, video camera, videodisc pla yer , and personal computer that ha ve analog RGB output conn ectors. Importan t: • Make sure that the connected device is turned off bef ore star ting conne ction.
EN-11 ENGLISH Projector + Computer For computer with Mini D-SUB For analog connection: 1. Connect one end of the supplied RGB cab le to the COMPUTER IN terminal (1, 2) of the projector . 2. Connect the other end of the RGB cab le to the monitor por t of the computer .
EN-12 Preparat ion Preparation f or projection 1. Attach the prov ided power cord to the projector . 2. Plug the power cord in the wall outlet. 3. Remov e the lens cap. Wa rn i n g : • Do not look into the lens directly when the proj ector is on. • The lens cap is f or protecting t he lens .

EN-14 Basic operation (continued) Po w e r- o f f Use the fo llowing procedure to turn off the projector . 1. Press the PO WER b utton on t he contr ol panel or the OFF b utton on the remote con trol. • The message "PO WER OFF? YES : PRESS AGAIN" appears on the screen.

EN-18 Image adjustment Image adjustmen t Y ou can adjust the image using the IMA GE menu. T o control the white-to-black le vel of the image : Adjust CONTRAST in the IMA GE men u. Press the X b utton to increase the contr ast and the W button to reduce it.
EN-19 ENGLISH Adjustment of the ima ge from the compu ter This projector adjusts the f ormat of the video signal supp lied from the computer . Howev er, sometimes imag es are not projected correctly owing to the type of the computer used. When the image from the computer isn’t proj ected correctl y , press the A UTO POSITION b ut- ton.
EN-20 Adv anced feature Still T o stop the motion in the image temporarily (or to displa y a still image): Press the STILL b utton on the remote contr ol. • The image will free ze temporarily . T o resume the motion in the imag e: Press the STILL b utton on the remote contr ol again.
EN-21 ENGLISH P assw ord funct ion This projector is equipped with the pass word function that is designed f or prev ention of wrong o peration by children and restric- tion on oper ation by other than specified user s. MENU ACCESS ........ All the buttons except for the POWER button on the projector are disab led.
EN-22 Lamp replacement This projector is equipped with a lamp to project images. This lamp is a consumable . It may b urn out or its brightness ma y decrease during use. In such cases, re place the lamp with a new one as soon a s pos- sible . Be sure to replace the lamp with a new lamp separ at ely sold that is e xclusive to this projector .
