This is an un vented gas-fired heater . It uses air (o xygen) from the room in which it is installed. Provisions f or adequate comb ustion and v entilation air must be pro vided.

14D2099 23 W ARNING The positioning of the logs is critical to the safe and c lean operation of this heater . Sooting and other pr oblems ma y result if the logs are not pr operly and firml y positioned in the appliance. Never add ad ditional logs or embellishments suc h as pine cones, vermiculite or r ock w ool to the heater .
24 14D2099 FLAME APPEARANCE Flames fr om the pilot, fr ont and rear burner should be visuall y checked as soon as the heater is installed. In addition, periodically check the flames visually during operation. CHECKING THE PILO T FLAME The pilot flame must al wa ys be present when the heater is in operation.
