Fuel spillage on a hot engine can cause a fire or e xplosion. If fuel spillage occurs, wipe up the spilled fuel completely to pre vent fire hazards .

Remov e the pump fill cap , and fill the pump with water . 2. Star t the engine as outlined in the initial star t-up section, and w ait for the pump to begin pumping.

Make sure the pump is le v el. The oil le vel must be between the tw o notches on the dipstic k as shown in Figure 17.
