GB 4 Remote control This section describes how to op erate the Mediamaster using the bu ttons on the remote control. mute Press once to turn the soun d off/on (mute/unmute). Press and hold for a few seconds to switch the Mediamaster into st andby mode.

GB 9 Connecting the Mediamaster & First-time installation • Some outdoor aerials are dir ected towards an an alogue trans- mitter. The a erial must be dire cted towards a digital TV trans- mitter. • It is not always advisable to pos ition the aerial as high as possi- ble.
GB 10 First-time installation Switching on f or the first time and start • Plug in your Mediamaster and th e "First-time installation" menu is shown. • Press ok to continue with the channel search. The menu will be shown as long as the Mediamaster is searching for TV and radio channels.
GB 11 Watching TV & list ening to the radio Gener al inf ormation You can watch digital TV and list en to digital radio with this Mediamaster. • If no TV channel is automatically shown after you have finishe d the installation procedure, press any of the number buttons , or step up and down with cursor up/down to select a channel.
Watching TV & list ening to the radio GB 12 Te m p o r a r y s e t t i n g s By pressing opt , a menu appears that allows you to configure temporary settings for the channe l you are currently watching. If you leave the ch annel and re turn to it later, your temporary settings will be deleted.

Navi Bars GB 16 The User folder Banner time out When you switch channe ls, an information banner will be shown for a few seconds. You can select the duration for which the banner will be shown. Volume bar time-out Select the duration for which the vo lume bar will be visible on the screen.
Navi Bars GB 17 TV screen format Select your TV screen format. The 4:3 format is standard for most TV screens. Select 16:9 for widescreen TV. Press opt to get a TV programme in the background from which you can instantly watch the re sult of your choice.
Navi Bars GB 18 Edit lists f older The TV folder may contain a lot o f channels. By cr eating your own lists you can mak e it easier to handl e channels. You can create and edit favourite channel lists in these menus. Select list If you have several lists and want to make changes in them, select which list by using the buttons.
Navi Bars GB 19 Delete selected list If you want to completely delete a list, first select the list with the buttons on the line "Select list ". Then, move down to "Delete selected list" and delete it. Rename select ed list Give the list a new name.
Navi Bars GB 20 Lock channels To open this m enu, you wil l be asked to en ter your a ccess code. The access code is set to 1234 at the factory. You can lock (and later unlock ) channels on any of the lists in order to prevent your children from watching them, etc.
Navi Bars GB 21 Adv anc ed manual se ar ch You can use this menu if you are look ing for some "specific" channels (i.e., n on-DVB standard chan nels) that are easie r to find once you have ente red the necessary PID settings here. Channel: Select the channel you wa nt to search for.

Reinstall Only use this option if you have to start the complete installation procedure from scratch.
