Note: Alwa ys switch off the power an d disconnect the charger and an y other device before removing the cover.

Messages If you have subscribed to a messaging se rvic e through yo ur wireless provider, y ou can send and receiv e text messages to compati ble phones that al so subscribe to a compatible mes sage service. Yo u may also b e able t o send and rece ive picture messages and e-mail messages.

Messages 33 • Auto-playback of sounds —Automatically plays bac k any attac hed sounds in the messa ge. When the me ssage memory is full, your phone cannot send or rece ive any new messages. However, you c an set y our phone to autom atica lly overw rite selected messages i n th e Inbox or Sent items folders when new me ssages a rrive .

Call log 35 6. Call log Call log stores informat ion about the last 20 miss ed, 20 received , and 20 dialed calls. It also stores the durati on of all calls.
Call log 36 Call times To view up to five calls with the time each call occu rred, your pho ne clock must be set. 1. Select Opt ions > Call time . 2. Scroll through th e calls to view th e recent call tim es. 3. Select Back to return to the options list.
Profile s 37 7. Profiles Profiles define how your ph one reacts when you receive a call or message, how you r keypa d so unds when y ou press a key , and more. Ringing options, keyp ad tones, and other settings for each profil e can be left at their default setting, or cust omized.

Settings 39 Automatic r edial Occasion ally, your netw ork may experie nce heavy tra ffic, which results in a fast busy signal when you dial. With autom atic redial activated, your phone re dials the numbe r up to three time s, and notifies you onc e the network is available.
Settings 40 Select a calling card You can select on e of the calling ca rds for which you have s aved information. The selected card information is used when you mak e a card call. 1. In the standby mode, select Menu > Settings > Call settin gs > Calling card .

Settings 46 ■ Enhancement settings The enha ncemen t settings menu is displayed only if the device is co nnected to a compatible enhancement. Impo rtant: The headset may affec t your ability to hear so unds around you. Do no t use the he adset in situati ons that ma y endanger your s afety.

Voice 57 ■ V oice rec order This fea ture allows you to record spee ch or soun d with your de vice and liste n to them later. The total available time is 30 s econds if no memos have been stored. The maximum length of a reco rding depends on how much memo ry remains available .
Organizer 58 12. Organizer Your device contains feature s to help organize your everyda y life, including an alarm clock, calendar, c alculator, c oun tdown timer, and stopwatch. ■ Alarm clock Set an alar m The alarm clock is based on the device clock.
Organizer 59 If the alarm tim e is reached while the device is switched off, the device switche s itself on and sta rts sounding the alarm tone. If you select Stop , the devi ce asks whether yo u want to act ivate the devic e for calls. Select No to swit ch off the device or Yes to ma ke and receive calls.
