Important: Do not use a mini-U ICC SIM card, also known as a micro-SIM card, a micro- SIM card with an adapter, or a SIM card th at has a mini-UICC cutou t (see figure) in this device.
3 Line up the contacts of th e battery and the ba ttery compartment, a nd insert the battery (6). To replace the back co ver, direct the bottom locking catches toward their slots (7), and press down until the cover locks into place (8) . Insert a memory card Use only compatible memory cards app rov ed by Nokia for use with this device.

Lock code (secur ity code) (min. 4 digits or characters) This helps you protect your device against unauthorised use. You can set you r device to ask for the lock code that you define. The default lock code is 12345. Keep the code secret an d in a safe place, separate fro m your device.
Scroll in a list or menu Place your finger on the screen, slide it quic kly up or down the screen, and then lift your finger. The content of the screen scrolls wi th the speed and dire ction it had at the moment of release. To select an item from a scrolling list and to stop the movement, tap the item.
The phone does not ring for inco ming calls or text messages. An alarm is set. or The phone is registered to the GPRS or EGPRS network. or A GPRS or EGPRS connection is open. or The GPRS or EGPRS connection is suspended (on hold). Bluetooth is activated.
