8 Copyright © 2005 Nokia. All rights reserved. 2. Get started The headset contains the following parts: • Display (1) • Call/play key (2) • Volume down key (3) • Volume up key (4) • Power key (5) • Stop key (6) • Neck strap clip (7) ties up the strap laces.
9 Copyright © 2005 Nokia. All rights reserved. • Earpieces (15) relay the caller's voic e and the sounds from the radio or audio player. Before you can start using th e headset, you must charge the battery and pair the headset with a compatible phone.
10 Copyright © 2005 Nokia. All rights reserved. 1. Connect the charger cable to the headset. 2. Connect the charger to a wall outlet. The battery indicator scrolls on the display during charging. Charging the battery fully may take up to 2 hours depending on the charger.
11 Copyright © 2005 Nokia. All rights reserved. 3. Select the headset (HS-12W) from the list of found devices. 4. Enter the passcode 0000 to pair and connect the headset to your phone. In some phones you may need to make the connection separately after pairing.
12 Copyright © 2005 Nokia. All rights reserved. 3. Basic use ■ W ear the earpieces For a better fit of the earpieces, you can remove the rubber rings around the earpieces or replace them with soft ea r pads for enhanced audi o quality. The headset comes with three pairs of soft ear pads.

The phone dials the related phone number. Voice dialing and redialing are not ava ilable during a call or when you are listening to the radio or music.

15 Copyright © 2005 Nokia. All rights reserved. To select the next track, press the fast forward key. To select the previous track, press the rewind key. To pause the audio player, pres s the stop key. To restart it, press the call/play key. To stop the audio player, press the stop key twice.

The full performance of a new battery is achieved only after two or th ree complete charge and dis charge cycles. The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but it will eventually wear out.
