8 Copyright © 2005 Nokia. All rights reserved . ■ Insert the battery Open the battery compartment by sliding the battery panel off, and insert the battery. ■ P air the headset with a compatible phone The HS-37W headset goes into the pairin g mode when you insert or replace the battery.
9 Copyright © 2005 Nokia. All rights reserved . If the pairing was unsuccess ful, the yellow LED stays on for 5 minutes, during which you must pair the devices again. You only need to pair the headset with your phone once. To exit the pairing mode, press the answer/end key briefly.
10 Copyright © 2005 Nokia. All rights reserved . 3. Basic use ■ Call handling To answer a call with your mobile phone, pr ess the answer key on your phone. You can transfer the call to the headset by pr essing the answer/end key on the headset briefly.
11 Copyright © 2005 Nokia. All rights reserved . To end a call, press the end key on your mobile phone or the answer/end key on your headset. ■ Standby mode To maximise the battery life, the headset automatically switches off after each call. To prevent this, set the headset in the standby mode.

Avoid storage in high temperatures (above 45°C / 113°F) - such as direct sunlight. Storage in high temperatures can degrad e performance and reduce the battery life.

Cannot answer calls with the headset because the phone stops ringing before the headset is acti vated The headset is designed to maximise battery life by au tomatically switching off after a call.
