Your Nokia N95 12 The type of content that can be transferred depends on the model of the device from which you want to transfer content. If the other device supports synchronisatio n, you can also synchronise data between the other device and your Nokia N95.
Your Nokia N95 13 Essential indicators The device is being used in a GSM network. The device is being used in a UMTS network (network service). You ha ve one or mor e unread m essages in the Inbox folder in Messagin g . You have received new e-mail in the remote mailbox.

WLAN wizard The WLAN wizard helps you to connect to a WLAN and manage your WLAN connections. The WLAN wizard shows the status of your WLAN connections in the active standby mode.
Connections 27 Operating modes There are two operating modes in WLAN: infrastructure and ad hoc. The infrastructure operating mode allows two kinds of communication: wi reless devi ces are connect ed to each other through a WLAN access point device, or wireless devices are connected to a wired LAN thr ough a WLAN access point device.
Connections 28 (for example, to transfer files); con nect to a compatible printer to print images with Image print . See ‘Image print’, p. 64. Since devices with Bluetooth wireless technology communicate using radio waves, your device and the other device do not need to be in direct line-of-sight.
Connections 29 Remote SIM mode —To enable another device, such as a compatible car kit enhancemen t, to use the SIM card in your device to connect to the network, select On .
Connections 30 1 To pair with a device, select Options > New paired device . Devices with Bluetoot h wireless technology within range start to appear on the display. 2 Select the device, and enter the passcode. The same passcode must be entered on the other device as well.
Connections 31 When the wireless device is in the remote SIM mode, you can only use a compatible connected enha ncement, such as a car kit, to make or receive calls. Your wireless device will not make any calls, excep t to the emergency numbers programmed into your device, while in this mode.

Media applications 34 Media applications Music player Music player supports files formats such as AAC, AAC+ , eAAC+, MP3, and WMA. Musi c player does not necessarily support all features of a file fo rmat or all the variat ions of file formats. You can also use Music player to listen to podcast episodes.
Media applications 35 press . To skip to the previous song, press again within 2 seconds after a song has started. You can also use the scroll key to control the player. Media applications 41 Download limit (%) —Define the size of the memory that is used for podcast downloads. If limit exceeds —Define what to d o if the downloads exceed the download limit. Setting the application to re trieve podcasts automaticall y may involve the transmission of large amounts of data through your service provider’s network.
Media applications 42 To open the desired folder topic, press the scroll key . A list of podcasts is displayed. To subscribe to a podcast, select the title, and press the scroll key. After you have subscribed to episodes of a podcast, you can download, ma nage, and play them in Podcasts.
Media applications 43 will see the file format, the size o f the file, and time of the upload. When the podcast is fully downloaded, to play the full episode, select Podcasts > Options > Play , or press and select Music > Music player > Podcasts .

Media applications 48 Copy items To copy new or edited items from your device to your PC, and copy the selected items from your PC to your device: 1 Connect your device to the PC. 2 Start the Nokia Lifeblog application on your PC. 3 In the Nokia Lifeblog PC application, select File > Copy from Phone and to Phone .
Media applications 49 3 Enter a title and a caption for the post. You can also write a longer story or description i n the body text field. 4 Select the weblog that you want to use from the Post to: list. 5 When everything is ready, click the Send button.
Camera 50 Camera Your Nokia N95 has two cameras, a high resolution camera on the back of the device (the main camera in landscape mode) and a lower resolution camera on the front (the secondary camera in portr ait mode). You can use both cameras to take still pictures and record videos.
Camera 51 halfway down again. You can , however, take the picture without locking the focus. 3 To take a picture, in the main camera, pr ess the capture key. Do not move the device before the image is saved. To zoom in or out, use th e zoom key in your device.
Camera 52 Show icons . To view the active toolbar only when you need it, select Option s > Hide icons . Only the capture mode indicator is shown on the display. To activate the active toolbar, press the scroll key. To hide it again, press the capture key ha lf way down.

Camera 54 Flash The flash is available on ly in the main camera. Keep a safe distance when using the flash. Do not use the flash on people or animals at close range. Do not cover the flash while taking a picture. The camera has an LED fl ash for low lig ht conditions.

Camera 56 Activate . The quadrangle blinks and the device beeps when the timer is running. Th e came ra takes the picture after the selected delay elapses. Positioning 74 Satellite information A GPS indicator is shown on the display when you browse maps. The circles in the icon are satellites. A yellow circle indicates that the device has found a satellite, and a green circle that the device is receiving signal from the satellite.

Nokia Map Loader Nokia Map Loader is PC software that you can use to download and install maps for different countries to your device from the internet. To start sending live video image, select Yes . If you do not activate the video call, video sending is not activated, and you only hear the sound of the caller.
Make calls 105 Packet data To check the amount of data sent and received during packet data connections, press , and select Tools > Log > Packet data . For example, you may be charged for your packet data connections by the amount of data sent and received.
Contacts (Phonebook) 106 Contacts (Phonebook) Press , and select Contacts . In Contacts you can save and update contact information , such as phone numbers , home addresses, or e-mail addr esses of your contacts. You can add a personal r inging tone or a thumbnail image to a contact card.
Contacts (Phonebook) 107 To check to which groups a contact belongs, select the contact and Option s > Belongs to groups . To delete a contact card in Contacts , select a card, and press . To delete several contact cards at the same time, press and to mark the contacts, and press to delete.
Contacts (Phonebook) 108 numbers to the fixed dialling list, select Options > New SIM contact . You need th e PIN2 code for these functions. When you use Fixed dialling , packet data connections are not possible, except when send ing text messages over a packet data connection.
Office 109 Office Quickoffice With Quickoffice, you can view .doc, .xls, .ppt, and .txt documents. All file formats or features are not supported. Apple Macintosh is not supported. To use the Quickoffice applications, press , and select Applicatio ns > Office > Quickoffice .
Office 110 Quickpoint With Quick point , you can view native Microsoft PowerPoint presentations with your device. Quickpoint supports the viewing of presentations saved in .ppt format created with Mi crosoft PowerPoin t 2000, XP, and 2003. Not all variations or featu res of the mentioned file formats are supported.
Office 111 To open documents, press , and select Applic ations > Office > Ad obe PDF . Your recent files are listed in the file view. To open a document, scroll to it, and press . Use File mgr. to browse and open documents stored in the device memory and on a compatible memory card (if inserted).
Office 112 You can store archive files on the device or on a compatible memory card. Wireless Keyboard To set up a Nokia Wireless Keyboard or other compatible wireless keyboard supporting the Bluetooth Human Interface Devices (HID ) profile for use with your device, use the Wireless keyb d.
