1 EN 1 Introduct ion Dear customer, Thank you for purchasing t his high-quali ty OMRON step counter . The new walking style III will measu re your physical activity keenly and helps you to assist your diet or motivates you to reach your daily wal king target.
2 2 Use of the OMRON Walking style II I 2.1 Cautions • Contact your doctor or healthc are provider bef ore beginning a weig ht reduc tion or e xercise program . • K eep the unit out of the reach of young children. • If young childr en swallow the bat tery , battery cover or screw , immediately consult a doctor.
3 EN 4 Know your unit 5 Settings 5.1 Setting t he Time, Weight, Heigh t and Stride Lengt h When you use the unit for the first time, follow the steps below . 1 Press the SET button on th e back of the unit with a thin, sturdy , stick that will not break eas ily .
4 2 Setting the hour. (1) Press or to select the desired value for a se tting. • Press ( ) to advance (go back) one. • Hold ( ) down to advance (go back) rapidly . (2) Press to confi rm the se tting. 3 Repeat steps (1) to (2) to set th e minute. 4 Repeat steps (1) to (2) to set th e weight.
5 EN 6.2 How to attach the OMRON Walking style III We recommend putting the un it in your pocket , your bag or hanging it f rom your neck . T o prevent accidentally dropping of th e unit, and make it more noticeable when addi ng clothes to the washi ng, we recommend using t he strap and clip provided .
6 6.4 Activity mode The activity mode store s the measurement values for a specified walking pe riod or session. Note: Y ou cannot check t he current display or memory funct ion when using the activity mode. 1 Press for two seconds from any of the displays.
7 EN 7 Checking the di splay 7.1 Checking the current displ ay Press to change the display . Distance walked during a day Calories di splay Additional energy burned during a day (Resting metabolism + additional energy burned = total energy consumption for one day).

9 EN ■ About the energy savi ng function In order to save energy , the display of th e unit will be turned off after “SLEEP” is displayed if no butt ons are pressed for more than 5 minutes. However, the unit will continue to monitor your st ep coun t.
10 8 Memory function The measurements for each day (st eps, distance walked, calories burned and fa t burned) are aut omatically stored in memory a nd reset to 0 at m idnight ( 0:00) ea ch day . 8.1 Recall data 1 Press to select the type of display you want to see.
11 EN 9 Battery life and replaceme nt If the symbol blinks or appears on the di splay , repla ce the battery wit h a new (CR20 32) battery . If the battery is re moved, the settings and all measurement values wil l be deleted. Please rese t the setting s (refer to Chapter 5.
12 10 Mainte nance and storage 10.1 Maintenance Always keep the unit clean. The unit should be cleaned w ith a soft dry cloth. T o remove stubborn stains, w ipe the unit with a da mp cloth moistened wi th water or mild deter gent. Then w ipe it dr y .
13 EN 1 1 Trouble shooting Note: If a malfunction has occurred and you need to repair your unit, all settings and measurement res ults are deleted. We recommend you to record measurement results. Phenomenon Cause Rectification Blinks or appears continuousl y .
