5 Bef ore operating this unit 1. Remove the battery compartment cov er by opening it as shown in the illustration. 2. Insert two AA (R6- or UM-3)-size batteries into the battery compart- ment. Carefully follow the polarity diagram (positi ve (+) and ne ga- tiv e ( – ) symbols) inside the battery compartment.
6 Connecting other components • Do not plug in the A C power cord until all other connections have been made. • For output jacks, the jack mark ed R corresponds to the right channel, and the jack marked L to the left channel. Refer to the amplifier’ s instruction manual for further inf ormation on connections.
