4 PREPARATION CONNECTING THE SPEAKER S Caution: Do not plug in the po wer cord or insta ll batt eries until you c onnect the speaker s. Operati ng the CD-3327 with- out sp eakers co nnecte d could d amage it. Follow these ste ps to connect the speaker s to the s ystem.
5 CONNECTING P OWER You can power you r CD-3327 fr om ei- ther: • standar d A C power (wit h the sup - plied power cor d) • eight D bat ter ies (not s upplied ) Note: Conne cting th e pow er cord dis - conne cts inte rnal batte ries.

7 USING THE R ADIO 1. Set FUNCTION to TUNER to tur n on the radio . POWER lights. 2. Set B AND to AM , FM , or FM ST . 3. Adju st TUNING to the d esired s ta- tion. Notes: • When you set BAND to FM ST . and the radio rec eives an FM stati on in ster eo , the FM ST EREO indi ca- tor lights.
8 USING THE CD PLA YER LOADING AND PLAYING A CD The CD-3327 pla ys both 3- and 5- inch CDs. 1. Set FUNCTION to CD . POWER lights. If no CD i s loaded, 00 th en no app ears. If a CD is in th e com- par tment, 00 th en the total numbe r of tracks on the CD ap pears.
9 SPECIAL FEATURES Pa u s e To pause a CD du ring p lay, press PLA Y/ PA U S E . The tr a ck nu mbe r b li nks a nd the CD stops p laying. To resume pl ay, press PLA Y/P A USE again. A udible Searc h To search forwar d on the CD, ho ld down SKIP | during play.

The n press PLA Y/ PA U S E to pl ay the trac k. Repeat You can repeatedl y play one tr ack, a programme d sequ ence (see “ Pro- grammed Play”), o r an enti re CD.
11 • After programmi ng a sequen ce of tracks, y ou can re view the tracks by pressing PROGRAM/REPEA T and then SKIP | or | . • T o add to the programmed seque nce, press PR OGRAM/ REPEA T until you reac h the end of the program and the next sequenc e is av ailable.

13 USING THE CASSETTE PL A YER The CD-3327’s cassette deck lets you play yo ur favor ite cas sette tape s and make recordi ngs from the rad io or CD player. LOADING A CASSETTE TA P E 1. T ak e u p an y slac k in th e cass ette tape by tur ning the hu b with a pen - cil.
14 3. Adju st VO L U M E to a co mf or tab le lis- tening lev el an d set TO N E to HIGH to enhance th e treble sound, or to LO W to enhanc e the ba ss soun d. 4. The CD-3327 au tomatical ly stops when it r eaches a tape’s e nd. T o stop it soon er , press ST OP/EJECT .
15 Caution: If you tr y to record on a cassett e tape that has h ad the erase-prote ction tab s remov ed, you can not pr ess do wn RECO RD . Do not f orce it, as th is can damage the mechani sm. Recording fr om the CD Player 1. Set FUNCTION to CD and load a CD .
16 T APE TIPS Eras ing a Cassette T ape If you n o long er want a recordi ng, you can rec ord over i t or erase i t. To record over a ca ssett e tape, si mply record over the prev iou s rec ordi ng. To er ase th e en - tire ca ssette tape, let t he tape record to the end w ith FUNCTION set to T APE/STD- BY .

18 CLEANING THE T APE- HANDLING P AR T S Dirt, dust, or particl es of the tape’s coat- ing can accumul ate on the tape h eads and other parts th at the tape t ouche s. This can gre atly reduce the per formance of the C D-3327. Use the fol lowing cl ean- ing pro cedure a fter every 20 hour s of operatio n.
