15 T APE TI PS T APE QUALITY For t he best per f o rmance, use only r egular l ength (60- or 90-mi nute) cas sette t apes. We do not rec om- mend long- playing cas sette tape s, such as C- 120s, becau se they ar e extre m e ly thin and ca n easily ta n- gle i n th e playback mechani sm.
16 Caution: Be careful not t o dama ge the ca ssette when tap pi ng i t. Do not t ouch the exposed tape or al- low any sharp ob jects ne ar the c assette. CLEANING THE T APE-HANDLING P A RTS Dirt, dust , or par ticles of the tape’ s coating can accu- mulate o n t h e ta pe head and o the r parts t hat t he tap e touches.
