Operating Inst ructions 12 1.5 Installing This Software It is recommended that you create an administrator account user on your PC to securely manage reco rded images. After loggi ng in as the set user, install this software . 1. Inser t the CD-ROM to the CD-ROM drive.

Operating Instruction s 23 2 Software Operation 2.1 Selecting a Folder to Sa ve Images This software records camera images to the ha rd disk on your PC . The folder can be changed. After the camera is registered, desti nation folders are automatically created in the selected folder .
Operating Inst ructions 24 1. Star t this software and select [T ools] [Preferences] [Destination Folder] on the menu bar . • The destination folder page is displa yed.
Operating Instruction s 25 2. Click [Bro wse...]. • The selecting folder page is displa yed. 3. Select the destination, and click [OK] . • Create the folder in adv ance. 4. Set the hard disk free space. • Set enough capacity (1 00 MB or great er) as y our destination folder to pre vent the system from getting unstab le.
Operating Inst ructions 26 2.2 A utomaticall y Bac king up Record ed Images Recorded images can be backed up aut omatically at the specified time. 1. Select [T ools] [Preferences] [Backup] on the menu bar . • The backup setting page is displa yed. 2.
Operating Instruction s 27 Par a m e t er s Notes • Back up feature automatically creates the last dated folder , and copies the recorded images and data for search in the destination f older . • Back up feature bac ks up only newly-recorded images after the last backup w as ex ecuted.
Operating Inst ructions 28 2.3 Using a Pr o xy Server Y ou need to set the f ollowing settings to monitor the camera on the Inter net you using a proxy server . (Y ou cannot con nect to the camera without the proxy settings.) If you do not use a pro xy server , this setting is not required.

Operating Instruction s 35 Motion Detection P age E.g. If the recording time ov erlaps other se ttings, a continuous image is recorded. • If you set to record images before or after 5-second period an d another motion is detected, 1 image is record ed.
Operating Inst ructions 36 Notes • Clicking on the toolbar buttons star ts recording, and clicking stops recording. If you are clicking or while you set recording ti me period before or after the motion detection, motion detection recording does not wor k.
Operating Instruction s 37 Keyword Page Setting Description K eyw ord 1/ K eyw ord 2 Put a ke yword to manually-recorded images. • 2 ke ywords (k eyword 1/k eyw ord 2) can be set. • If y ou set a keyw ord, you can search recorded images by it (see page 63).

Fits the image to the window . Stops recording. Shrinks the image by 25 % (minimum 25 % of the actual size).

Operating Instruction s 49 2.6.2 U sing Operation Bar Y ou ca n operate camera on the monito ring pag e. If the f eature is not permitted, the buttons are g ra yed out. Preset Display: When clicking a preset b utton, the preset name appears. Camera operation information is also displayed.
Operating Inst ructions 50 Zooming in and out (Cameras av ailable f or the zooming in and out functi on) Clicking tele b utton zooms in (maximum 42x *1 ), clic king wide button zooms out. The camera zooms in or out at a regular rate. *1 Optical zoom is 21x and digital zoom is 2x.
Operating Instruction s 51 Focusing (Cameras av ailabl e for the focusing function) The camera has automa tic or manual focusing f eatures. • A utomatic Focus Click b utton. It is recommended to use automati c f ocus. Y ou can return to automatic f ocus from manual f ocus clicking button.

Operating Instruction s 53 2.7 Recor ding the Image 2.7.1 Man ually Recor ding the Image This software allows y ou to manually record images. Set the image settings on the camera inf or mation page (see page 33). 1. Select a camera previe w on the camera list.

Operating Inst ructions 62 Speed and v olume can be adju sted in the follo wing ways. Notes • The changed playbac k speed is disabled by selecting another camera pre view or closing this software . • A udio cannot be ad justed. Audio can be pla yed only at the medium speed (default).
Operating Instruction s 63 2.8.2 Sear ching the Recor ded Images Y ou can search images by using recorded ti me or ke yword. 1. Select a camera previe w on the camera list. • Selected camera is displayed in a blue fr ame (see page 66). 2. Select [Edit] [Search ] on the menu bar .

Time per iod can be set by directl y enter ing date and time or sel ecting it from the calendar . Operating Inst ructions 66 2.9 Using Camera List The camera list displays registered camera previe ws. The selected camera is display ed in a blue frame. If you select multiple cameras, select them while pressing [Ctrl] ke y on the ke yboard. The image of the selected camera is display ed on the monitor ing page.
Operating Instruction s 67 Notes • Double-clic king or clicking displays the camera list on another window (see page 39). • If the camera is not operated f or 15 seconds, the indicator of monitoring tur ns off.

Operating Instruction s 85 Ot h e r E rro rs Message Cause and Remedy Recording cannot be star ted because "XXXX" has reached its recording capacity . Delete unnecessar y images in order to star t recording. "XXXX" = • Camer a Name • The capacity has reached the recording capacity limit.
Operating Inst ructions 86 Camera could not be authenticated. Check the User Name and Pass word and try again. • This software do not pass the camera authentication. F ollow the instructio n message. The specified camera does not suppor t audi o . Change the recording settings to image only .
Operating Instruction s 87 There were timers that could not be deleted. T r y again. • This software is malfunctioning. (This message is not nor mally display ed.) Restar t your PC . Is it OK to apply the pro xy settings to all cameras? • Y ou checked [Use a pro xy server] on the network page of the preferences.

Confir m that there is sufficient free space on the sav e destination disk and that the sav e destination f older is i n a writable condition, then tr y recording again.

T urn the camera on. • The camera IP address is incorrect. Set the proper IP ad dress at the basic setting s on the camera registration inf or mation page.
