VQT4H57 (ENG) 18 Charging the Bat tery Use t he dedicat ed charge r and batte ry . • The battery is not charged when the camera is shipped. Charge the ba ttery before use. • Charge the battery with the charger indoors [10 o C to 30 o C (50 o F to 86 o F)].
19 (ENG) V QT4H57 Inserting and Removing t he Card (optional)/the Battery • Turn this unit off and confirm that the lens barrel is retracted. • We recommend using a Panasonic card. 1 Slide t he release lever i n the di recti on of the arrow and open the card/battery door .
VQT4H57 (ENG) 20 Sequence of op erations 1 T urn the camera on. • The clock is not set when the camera is shipped. Set the date and time before using the camera. 2 Press the shutter button halfway to focus and then press it fully to t ake the picture.
