Prepara tion 12 VQT0S4 6 Charging the Battery with the Charger When the camera is shipped, the battery is not charged. Charge the batter y before use. 1 Attach the battery with atte ntion to the direct ion of the battery . 2 Connect the AC C able. • The AC Cable does not fit entirely into the A C input terminal.

When you turn the camera on, the f ollowing screen appears. • T ake the lens cap off before setting the date and time. • Press the [MENU] button, the screen shown in step 1 appears.

Subjects such as people become dark when pictures are recorded in the backlight. Recording pictures (a dvanced) 67 VQT0 S46 This mode allows you to take a picture in locations such as skiing resor ts and locations near sn owy mountains. The ex posure and t he white balance are adjusted to make t he white colour of the snow stand out.

When the AF mode is set to 1-area- focusing, 1-area-f oc using (high s peed) or spot-focusing, the time required f or focusing when pressing the shutter button halfwa y will be reduced.

Locking the e xposure is useful if there is e xtreme contrast in the shot and you cannot get t he best exposure.
