VQT1 Y62 12 Before Use How to Use the T ouch Panel Y ou can operate by directly touching the LCD monitor (touch panel) with your finger . It is easier to use the st ylus pen (supplied) for det ailed operation such as title editing or if it is hard to operate with your fin gers.

VQT1 Y62 14 Preparation Preparation Charging the Battery ∫ About batteries that you can use with thi s unit The bat tery tha t can b e used with thi s unit is DMW -BCF10P P. • Use the dedi cated charger and ba ttery . • This unit ha s a function that can di stinguish useable batteries.
15 VQT1 Y62 Preparatio n ∫ When the [CHARGE] indicator flashes • The battery temperature is exce ssively high or low . The c harging t ime will be longer than normal. Also, cha rging may not be complet ed. • The terminals of the char ger or the battery are di rty .
VQT1 Y62 16 Preparation ∫ Charging Charging time and number of recordable pictu res with the optional battery pack (DMW-BCF10PP) are the same as above. The charging time will vary slightly depending on the s t atus of the battery and the conditions in the c harging environment.

VQT1 Y62 20 Preparation Select [CLOCK SET] in the [REC] or [SE TU P] menu, and press 1 . ( P21) • It can be chang ed in step s 3 and 4 to set the clock. • The clock set ti ng is maintained for 3 months using t he bui lt-in clock ba ttery even withou t the battery .
