25 Recor din g [RAM] Preparation ≥ Press [DV D]. Hint ≥ Sound is not output while f ast-forwarding. You can s tart play from the beginning of the title while continuing to record it. While recording or timer recording Press [ 1 , PLAY] . Time Slip indicator on the main unit lights.
Recor din g 26 [RAM] [D VD-R] ≥ You can record up to 99 titles on a disc. ≥ DVD-RAM/DVD-R have limitations on recording ( l 18). ≥ Recording will take place on open space on the disc. Data will not be overwritten. ≥ If there is no space left on the record ing disc, you will need to era se unwanted titles ( l 23, 33) or use a new disc.
Recor din g 27 Depending on the content being recorded, the recording times may become shorter than indicated. (Unit: hour) ° When “Recording Time in EP Mode” has been set to “EP (6H)” in the SETUP m enu ( l 43). The sound quality is lower compared to other recording modes when using “EP (8H)”.
28 Timer Recording [RAM] [D VD-R] You can enter up to 16 progr ams up to a month in adv ance. Preparation ≥ Release protection (disc l 30, cartr idge l 18). [RAM] ≥ Insert a disc ( l 20) and confirm there is sufficient empty space for recording on it ( l 47).
Timer Recording 29 Note ≥ “ ” flashes when the unit cannot perform timer recording (non- recordable disc or protected disc, etc.). Check the disc carefully. ≥ The actual time recorded may b e longer than the program itself when TV programs are recor ded using VC R Plus _ system .

Timer Recording 53 If, at the beginning of a timer program, there is not enough tape remaining to complete the recording, the SP/EP function will automatically run the tape at EP s peed.

In One-Touch Dubbing, all contents on the disc are aut omatically dubbed onto the t apes. ° Available discs for t ransfer (dubbing) on to tape are DVD-RA M and non-finalized DVD-R.
Advan ced O perati ons 61 You can s pecify the position to start transfer (dubbing) of t he program reco rded on the disc to the tape. ≥ Copy-guarded discs cannot be dubbed. Most disc s are copy- guarded to prevent illegal rep roduction and they cannot be recorded with the f ollowing procedure.
