6 Chapter 1 Basic Menu Features Chapter 1 Basic Menu Featur es Basic Oper a tion Pr ocedur e The machine automaticall y detect s the ori ginal(s) and decides on which Copy Si ze, Black & Whi te, or Color Copy Mode to use. If the detec tion fails, manual ly set the setti ngs.
7 Chapter 1 Basic Menu Features 4 Enter t he desired n umber of co pies. (Up to 999) z When in putting a n umber 4 to 8 digits in length, wi th the optional Fax Communic ation Board installed, the m achin e interprets th is as a te lephone nu mber , a nd switc hes to Fax Mode and displays the Number P ad screen.
8 Chapter 1 Basic Menu Features Selecting the Color Mode Y ou can either cop y in the machine selec ted color mode, or yo u can manually chang e it. z The defaul t color mod e settings c an be change d. Refer to Copier Settings (For Key Operator) in the Operating Instructions (For Functi on Parameters ) on the provi ded CD-ROM.

10 Chapter 1 Basic Menu Features 2 Color Mode Color origi nal can be copied in 2 Colors, which can be achie ved by using Black & another specifi ed color . The specified color can be sel ected from the basic colors (Red, Green, Blue, Y ellow , Magenta, Cyan) and registered colors.

47 Chapter 2 More Menus Features Copying Special Originals (Thin Paper, etc.) from the ADF SADF This mode adds a 5 second delay to allow another ori ginal to be placed on the ADF . S pecial origi nals (like thin paper , etc.) can be fed from the ADF and c opied conti nuously using the SADF Mode.
