Users can easily navigate the UEFI BIOS with the same smoothness as their operating system.

The other items (Ai T weaker, Advanced, Monitor , Boot, T ool, and Exit) on the menu bar have their respective menu items.

ASUS P8Z77-V LK 3-7 Chapter 3 3.4 Ai Tweaker menu The Ai T weaker menu items allow you to congure overclocking-related items. Be cautious when changing the settings of the Ai T weaker menu items. Incorrect eld values can cause the system to malfunction.

ASUS P8Z77-V LK 3-9 Chapter 3 Memory Frequency [Auto] Allows you to set the memory operating frequency . The conguration options vary with the BCLK/PCIE Frequency item settings. Selecting a very high memory frequency may cause the system to become unstable! If this happens, revert to the default setting.

[Power Off] The system goes into off state after an AC power loss. [Last State] The system goes into either off or on state, whatever the system state was before the AC power loss.

ASUS P8Z77-V LK 3-33 Chapter 3 3.9 Exit menu The Exit menu items allow you to load the optimal default values for the BIOS items, and save or discard your changes to the BIOS items. Y ou can access the EZ Mode from the Exit menu. Load Optimized Defaults This option allows you to load the default values for each of the parameters on the Setup menus.
3-34 Chapter 3: BIOS setup Chapter 3 3.10 Updating BIOS The ASUS website publishes the latest BIOS versions to provide enhancements on system stability , compatibility , or performance. However , BIOS updating is potentially risky . If there is no problem using the current version of BIOS, DO NOT manually update the BIOS .
ASUS P8Z77-V LK 3-35 Chapter 3 Updating the BIOS through the Internet 2. Select the ASUS FTP site nearest you to avoid network trafc. If you want to enable the BIOS downgradable function and auto BIOS backup function, check the checkboxs before the two items on the screen.
