GR6 9 P ower button The power butt on allows you to turn the GR6 on or o . Steam Big Picture Launcher The Steam Big P icture Launcher allows you to acc ess Steam Big Picture mode from po wer o , sleep, hibernate , or Window s® operating system.
10 GR6 Bottom view Air ven ts The air vents allo w cool air to enter your GR6 chassis and expel hot air out. IMPORT ANT! For optimum heat dissipa tion and air ventilation, ensur e that the air vents are fr ee from obstructions.
GR6 11 Rear panel HDD/Drive LED indicator This indicator lights up when y our GR6 is accessing the internal storage drives . Audio Input Jack This 1/8-inch stereo input jack can be used t o connect a stereo audio sour ce to the GR6. This featur e is used mainly to add audio to multimedia applications .
12 GR6 Microphone jack The microphone jack allow s you to connect an external microphone for video c onferencing , voice narrations, or simple audio recor dings.
GR6 13 P ower input (DC 19V) The supplied power adapt er converts AC pow er to DC power f or use with this jack. Power supplied thr ough this jack supplies power to the PC. T o prev ent damage to the PC, always use the bundled pow er adapter . W ARNING! The po wer adapter may become warm t o hot when in use.

16 GR6 Getting started P ositioning your GR6 The GR6 can be positioned standing up or lying down. When positioning your GR6, ensure tha t the rubber studs or the rubber feet ar e in contact with the at and stable sur face of your table or desk.
GR6 17 C onnec ting the A C power adapt er T o connect the AC power adapt er to your GR6: A. Connect the AC pow er cord to the A C/DC adapter . B. Plug the AC po wer cord int o a 100V~240V power sourc e. C. Connect the DC power connector int o your GR6’ s power (DC) input por t.

GR6 23 Recovering your system IMPORT ANT! This section only applies for models with the bundled operating system installed in y our GR6. Resetting your PC The Reset your PC option r estores your GR6 t o its factor y default settings. IMPORT ANT! Back up all your data befor e using this option.
24 GR6 Creating a USB r ecov er y drive Y ou can create a USB r ecovery drive and use this to reco ver your PC’ s settings. W ARNING! All les on y our USB storage device will be permanently deleted during the process . Before you pr oceed, ensure that y ou back up all your important data.
GR6 25 Removing ev erything and reinstalling W indow s® IMPORT ANT! This section only applies for models with the bundled operating system installed in y our GR6. Restoring your GR6 to its original factory settings can be done using the Remov e everything and reinstall option in PC Settings.
26 GR6 Turning off your GR6 Click Shutdown in W indows® operating syst em or press the P ower button to shut down y our GR6. If your GR6 is unresponsive , press and hold the power butt on for at least four seconds un til your GR6 turns o . Putting your GR6 to sleep Click sleep in Windo ws® operating system to let y our GR6 enter sleep state.

3 Upgrading y our GR6.
30 GR6 Upgrading memory modules Y our GR6 comes with two SO-DIMM memor y slots that allow you to install up to two 8 GB DDR3L 204-pin SO-DIMMs for a maximum of 16 GB memor y . IMPORT ANT! Y ou can only install DDR3L (1.35V Low V oltage) 204-pin SO-DIMM to the GR6’ s DIMM slots.
GR6 31 5. Slide the side cov er towards the r ear to detach it from the chassis and then gently lift to remov e it from the chassis. 6. Pry open the SO -DIMM slot cov er .
32 GR6 7. Remove the memory modules. T o remove a memory module: A. Pr ess the retaining clips on each side to release the memory module. B. Carefully r emove the memory module. C. Repeat steps A and B to remo ve the other memory module. NO TES: • Usethesamemodelandspeedwhenreplacingmemory modules.
GR6 33 8. Get the replacement memory modules. 9. Install the new memor y modules into the slot. IMPORT ANT! Always install on the low er slot rst when installing one or two modules. T o install a new memor y module: Align and insert the memor y module into the slot (A ) and then press it down (B) until it is secur ely seated in place.
34 GR6 11. Replace the side cov er and then slide it towards the fr ont of GR6 to re-attach. 12. Pr ess the latch upwar d to securely fasten the side co ver to the chassis.
GR6 35 Installing a 2.5-inch storage drive The GR6 supports one 2.5-inch HDD or one 2.5-inch SSD for additional storage capacity . T o install a 2.5-inch HDD or SSD: 1. T urn o your GR6. 2. Disconnect all cables and peripherals. 3. Place the GR6 on its side on a stable and at surface.
36 GR6 6. Remove the f our screws that secure the 2.5-inch HDD/SSD extension bay . 7. Using the ap , pull the extension bay to remov e it from the chassis. ap 5. Slide the side cov er towards the r ear to detach it from the chassis and then gently lift to remov e it from the chassis.
GR6 37 8. Pr epare the 2.5-inch HDD/SSD and the bundled set of four screws . 9. T urn the extension bay upside down and place the 2.5-inch HDD/SSD into the extension bay as shown. Ensur e that screw holes on the 2.5-inch HDD/SSD match the screw holes on the extension bay .

GR6 39 13. Replace the side cov er and then slide it towards the fr ont of GR6 to re-attach. 14. Move the lat ch upward to secur ely fasten the side cover t o the chassis.
