4 Setting the Remote Control to Operate Your TV You can o perate t he TVs of th e manufa cturers listed b elow with the rem ote cont rol after se tting it. This settin g procedure all ows you to operate the TVs of some manufac turers u sing the supplied remote c ontrol.
5 Tuning the TV to Your VCR The VCR s upplies a signal to the TV via the RF coaxia l cab le on chann el A U28-69 or NZ21 -69. If yo u ha ve connecte d the VCR to th e TV through the A udio/ Video inp ut soc ke ts, the n yo u do not n eed to f ollow the procedure below .
6 If Auto Tuning s tops halfwa y by turning th e VCR off or a power failure, Or if the VCR is turned on without t he aerial con nected and all channels a re skipped: 1 Disconnect the mains lead and then reconnec t it. 2 Turn off the VC R and then turn it on.
7 Setting the Clock of You r VCR In the ev ent of a power failu re, the clock wil l operate on its back up s ystem for a m inimum of 3 ye ars. After 3 years, clo ck back up in the ev ent of a power fail ure can only be guarantee d for maxi mum of 1 hour.

11 To Display the Approxim ate Remaining Tape Time The rem aining tape ti me can be display ed in t he VCR displa y. 1 Select [TAPE SELECT] from the On Screen Displ ay and select th e corresponding video cas sette tape le ngth. See page 8. 2 Press [STATUS/ NAVI CHECK] (32) repeate dly until th e Remaining Tape Time a ppears on the VCR display.

13 Timer R ecordi ng Easy Timer Programming Up to 16 timer programmes, includin g week ly and da ily programm es, can be reco rded u p to one mont h in adv ance by setting t he tim er. Preparation s • The VCR mu st be turn ed on, or in time r recording stand by mode.
