Important Information E NGLISH - 8 Precautions with regard to safety If you notice smoke, stra nge smells or noise co ming from the projector, disconnect t he power plug from the wall socket. Do not continue to use the projector in such cases, otherwise fire or electric shocks could res ult.

Getting Started E NGLISH - 16 Setting up You can adjust the projection size with 2.0x zoom lens . Calculate and de fine the throw distance as follows. * All measurements above are app roximate and may differ slightly from the actual measurements.
Getting Started Setting up E NGLISH - 17 You can use the pr ojector with any of the following 4 proje c ti on methods. To set the desired method i n the projector, See “INSTALLATION” on page 37.. You can screw up/down the fron t leg adjusters to control the a ngle of the pro jector for ad justing the throwing angle.

E NGLISH - 22 Basic Operation Switching the projector on/off J Connecting 1. Make sur e the shape of the power cord and the AC IN connector on the back of the projector match, then push the plug all the way in. 2. Connect the Mains lead to a wall socket.
Basic Operation Switching the projector on /off E NGLISH - 23 1. Switch the MAIN POWER on. The power indicator lights up in RED . 2. Open the Front panel cover . This is not necessary in Remote control operation. 3. Press the POWER button. The power indica tor lights up in GREEN after flashing for a while.
E NGLISH - 24 Basic Operation Projecting an image 1. Switch on the connected devices. Press the play button of the required device. 2. Press the INPUT SELECT buttons to select the required input method if needed. Se e “Selecting the input signal” on p age 24.
E NGLISH - 25 Basic Operation Remote control operation You can operate th e projector with the Remote control within the re mote rang e 15 m (49 '2"). Q Facing to the projector Ensure the Remote control emitter is facing to the Remote control si gnal receptor on front/back of the projector an d press the required buttons to operate.
Basic Operation Remote control operation E NGLISH - 26 You can switch the input method manually by pressing the COMPUTER , NETWORK (PT-F100NT U only) and VIDEO buttons. Press the required button several times or I H to cycle through the input methods as follows.
Basic Operation Remote control operation E NGLISH - 27 When projectin g an image, press FREEZE to capture the projected imag e and display it on the screen as a still pi cture. Press again to escape. While the im age is frozen, the sound will be stopped.
Basic Operation Remote control operation E NGLISH - 28 You can enlarge the pr ojected image down to a centered area for emphasizin g within the range of 1x to 2x. Q Enlarging the image 1. Press DIGITAL Z OOM +/- once . The centered area of t he image will then be enl arged to 1.
E NGLISH - 29 Settings Menu Navigation The menu system allows you to access fu nctions wh ich do not have their own dedicated buttons on the Remote control . The menu options are str uctured and categorised. You can navigate through the menu with F G H I buttons.

E NGLISH - 32 Settings PICTURE menu Depending on the projection environment, you can use these pres et parame ter settings to optimiz e image projection. Press I H to cycle through the op tions. You can adjust the contrast of the projected image. Adjust the BRIGHTNESS in advance if necessary.

E NGLISH - 34 Settings POSITION menu If the projector is aligned no n-perpendi cularly to the screen, or if the projection screen has an angled surface, you can correct keystone. Setting range: -32 to +32 You can move the projected imag e for fine adjustment.
POSITION menu E NGLISH - 35 Settings Q 16:9 The squeezed signal will be projected in 16:9 ratio. Q S4:3 The input signal will be sized down 75 % and projected.
E NGLISH - 36 Settings OPTION menu When you change the input method, th e guidance appears in the upper right co rner of the screen. The following display methods are availa ble. Press I H to cycle through the options. You can switch the logo on/off th at is displayed when starting up the projector.
OPTION menu E NGLISH - 37 Settings You can check the remaining amount of the ARF (Auto Rolling Filter). The color of th e bar scale is indicating the condition of the ARF .
Settings OPTION menu E NGLISH - 38 If you use the proje ctor at high eleva tion, the HIGHLAND setting need to be ON to set the fan speed high. Press I H to select the required option. OFF The fan speed is low . ON The fan speed is high. If the input signal contain s closed captions, you ca n turn on the feature an d switch the channels.
E NGLISH - 39 Settings SECURITY menu J Entering the SECURITY Every time w hen you ap ply to the SECURITY menu, you will be asked to per form the passwor d operation. When you apply to the SECURITY menu before you change the password to your origina l, perform to input the following factory default pa ssword operation.

E NGLISH - 41 Maintenance TEMP, LAMP and ARF Indicators If a problem should occur with the proje ctor, the TEMP , LAMP and/or FILTER indicators will inform you. Ma nage the indicated problems as follow. 1. Confirm the status of all indicators and projector , and switch off the projector in proper way .
E NGLISH - 42 Maintenance Care and Replacement J Before cleaning the projector Switch off the MAIN POWER and disconnect the power plug from the wall socket. Unplug all the cables from the projector . J Cleaning the outer surf ace of the projector Wipe off dirt and du st gently with a soft cloth.
Care and Replacement E NGLISH - 43 Maintenance J Before replacing the Lamp unit Switch off the MAIN POWER and disconnect the power plug from the wall so cket. Make sure the Lamp unit and the surroundings are cooled enough. Prepare a Phillip s-head screwdriver .
Maintenance Care and Replacement E NGLISH - 44 J Replacement proce dure Q Removing and replacing the lamp unit 1. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to loosen the 3 Lamp unit cover fixing screws on the back of the projector until the screws turn freely , and remove the Lamp unit cover .
E NGLISH - 45 Maintenance Troubleshooting Should any problem persist, contact yo ur dealer. Problem Cause Reference pag e Power does not turn on. The power cord may not be connected. The MAIN PO WER switch is turned off. No electric supply is at the wall socket.
