E NGLISH - 20 Basic Operation Switching the projector on/off J Connecting 1. Make sure the shape of the power cord plug and the AC IN connector on the back of the projector match, then push the plug all the way in. 2. Connect the Power cord to a wall outlet.
Basic Operation Switching the projector on /off E NGLISH - 21 1. Plug the Power cord into the projector . The POWER indicator lights up in RED . 2. Press the POWER button. The POWER indicator lights up in GREEN after flashing for a while. The STARTUP LOGO is displayed on the screen.
E NGLISH - 22 Basic Operation Projecting an image 1. Switch on the connected devices. Press the play button of the required device. 2. Press the INPUT SELECT buttons to select the required input method if needed. See “S witching the input signal” on p age 24.
E NGLISH - 23 Basic Operation Remote control operation You can operate th e projector with the Remote control within the re mote rang e 15 m (49 '2"). Q Facing to the projector Ensure the Remote control emitter is facing to the Remote control signal receptor on front of the projector an d press the required buttons to operate.

Basic Operation Remote control operation E NGLISH - 25 You can reset most of the cust omised settings to the factory defaults by pressing DEFAULT button of t he Remote control . Display the required sub menu or th e menu items and press the DE FAULT button again.

E NGLISH - 27 Settings Menu Navigation The menu system allows you to access fu nctions wh ich do not have their own dedicated buttons on the Remote control . The menu options are str uctured and categorised. You can navigate through the menu with F G H I buttons.

E NGLISH - 30 Settings PICTURE menu Depending on the projection environment, you can use these pres et parame ter settings to optimis e image projection. Press I H to cycle through the op tions. You can adjust the contrast of the projected image. Adjust the BRIGHTNESS in advance if necessary.
PICTURE menu E NGLISH - 31 Settings You can keep the p rojected image b r ight and vi vid even in well-lit rooms where the am bient light sources cannot be controlled, such as when a do or opens or when window coverings fail to block out sunligh t.
E NGLISH - 32 Settings POSITION menu This projector detects its own degr ee of tilt and corrects the keystone dis tortion automatica lly. OFF : Deactive ON : Active This projector detects its own degr ee of tilt and corrects the keystone dis tortion automatica lly (“ REALTIME KEYSTONE ”).
LANGUAGE menu E NGLISH - 33 Settings Q 4:3 The input signal will be projected without any change. Q 16:9 The squeezed signal will be projected in 16:9 ratio. Q S4:3 The input signal will be sized down 75 % and projected. S4:3 mode is ef fective when projecting 4:3 image on to a 16:9 screen.
E NGLISH - 34 Settings OPTION menu When the input signal is changed, the input signal information will be displayed in the upper right corner of the projected images. You can select the level of the input signal informati on. You can switch the logo on/off that is displayed when starting up the projector.
OPTION menu E NGLISH - 35 Settings You can check how long the lamp has been u s ed. You can set the off time r to switch off the POWER of the projector after a certain period of time a utomatically when no signal is detected. Press I H to select the required period from 15 to 60 minute s at intervals of 5 minutes.
Settings OPTION menu E NGLISH - 36 If you use the proje ctor at high eleva tion, the HIGHLAND setting need to be ON to set the fan speed high. Press I H to select the required option.
E NGLISH - 37 Settings SECURITY menu J Entering the SECURITY Every time w hen you ap ply to the SECURITY menu, you will be asked to per form the passwor d operation. When you apply to the SECURITY menu before you change the password to your origina l, perform to input the following factory default pa ssword operation.
E NGLISH - 38 Settings WIRELESS menu (PT-LB51NTU only) In WIRELESS menu , the following items are av ailable. NETWORK Select the network setting you want to use.
E NGLISH - 39 Maintenance TEMP, LAMP Indicators If a problem should occur with the proje ctor, the TEMP , LAMP indicators will inform yo u. Manage the indicated problems as follow. 1. Confirm the statu s of all indicators and projector , and switch off the pr ojector in proper way .
E NGLISH - 40 Maintenance Care and Replacement J Before cleaning the projector Disconnect the power cord plug from the wall outlet. Unplug all the cables from the projector . J Cleaning the outer surf ace of the projector Wipe off dirt and du st gently with a soft cloth.
Care and Replacement E NGLISH - 41 Maintenance J Before replacing the Lamp unit Disconnect the power cord plug from th e wall outlet. Make sure the Lamp unit and the surroundings are cooled enough. Prepare a Phillip s-head screwdriver . Conta ct an Authorised Service Center to purchase a repla cement Lamp unit (ET -LAB50).

Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the two lamp unit cover fixing scr ews until t he screws turn freely .
E NGLISH - 43 Maintenance Troubleshooting Should any problem persist, contact yo ur dealer. Problem Cause Reference pag e Power does not turn on. The Power cord may not be connected. No electric supply is at the wall outlet. TEMP indicator is lit or flashes.
