10 RQT6951 Simple setup ≥ Use only s upplied speakers Using other speakers can dam age the unit and sound quality will be negatively affected. ≥ Set the speakers up on an even su rface to prevent them from falling. Take proper precautions to prevent the speakers from falling if you cannot set them up on an even surface.

The amount of power used depen ds on the display setting ( ➡ page 44): BRIGHT: 3.7 W DIM: 3.5 W OFF: 2.4 W Audio memory backup To save power when the unit is not to be used for a long time, unplug it f rom the household AC outlet.
15 RQT6951 After plugging the unit i nt o your household AC outlet and pressing [ Í ] to turn the unit on for the first time, the unit automatically tunes in all the channels it can receive and s ets the clock. The unit determines t he type of transmis sion, TV or CAT V, as follows: TV: when there are less than 5 CATV channels.

42 RQT6951 Changing settings Change the s ettings to suit your preferences and to suit the unit to the environment in which it is being used. These set tings are retained in memory until they are changed, even if t he unit is turned off. Preparation ≥ Press [VCR] to put the remote control in VCR mode.
