15 RQT7708 ∫ Connecting a tele vision with COMPONENT VIDEO IN terminals COMPONENT VIDEO OUT terminals These terminals can be used for ei ther interlace or progressive output and provide a purer picture than the S-VIDEO OUT terminal.

The amount of power used depends on the display setting ( ➜ page 42): BRIGHT: 3.8 W DIM: 3.5 W OFF: 2.2 W T o save po wer when the unit is not to be used for a long time, unplug it from the household AC outlet.
17 RQT7708 After plugging the unit into y our household A C outlet and pressing [ Í ] to tur n the unit on for the first time, the unit automatically tunes in all the channels it can receive and sets the clock. The unit deter mines the type of transmission, TV or CA TV , as fol l o ws : TV : when th ere are less than 5 CA TV channels.
