12 VQT0 Q47 1 Open the Car d/Battery Door at the bottom of this unit. • Release t he loc k and th en open the Door while sliding it. 2 Insert/remo ve the battery or the card. • Read the ne xt page carefully . 3 Close the Car d/Battery Door . • Close the Door and then loc k it while sliding.
13 VQT0Q 47 ∫ When inserting the card/ battery Confirm the directi on of the bat tery and the card. Inser t the batter y fully into the slot with t he Battery Lock 1 low ered. Check if t he Bat tery Lock is hooked on the Bat tery 2 . ≥ Place the battery with the label side upw ard.
14 VQT0 Q47 1 Connect the A C mains lead to the AC ada ptor and the A C mains soc ket, then connect th e DC plug to this unit. • The A C mains lead do es not f it entir ely into the A C ada ptor soc ket. A gap will re main as shown 1 . • The Charge Lamp 2 blin ks and the c harging starts.

16 VQT0 Q47 ≥ The batter y is warm ed during and after charging. The SD Multi Camera is also warm ed during t he operation, howe ver , it is not a malfunction. ≥ When you do not use this unit, disconnect the DC plug from this unit and disconnect the A C mains lead fr om the electrical outlet.
17 VQT0Q 47 ∫ Battery indicato r ≥ It is displayed on the LCD Monitor (P92) when this unit is t urned on. ≥ As the rem aining battery power is decreased, the indicator is changed as >> (blinking). When the indicator is shown as (blinking), the battery will be e xhausted in a fe w minutes.
18 VQT0 Q47 2 Press the [M ODE] butt on 1 , and then r oll the Jog Ball 2 to select t he mode. – The selected ic on is enlarged . • When the [MODE] bu tton is ta pped witho ut a card i n this un it, th e demonstr ation mode (P 91) is activ ated. 3 Press the Jog Ball to set.

25 VQT0Q 47 ∫ How to hold th e SD Multi Came ra ≥ Put your ar m on the side of your body . ≥ Fix the SD Multi Camera with y our r ight hand and put your left hand on t he SD Multi Camera. ≥ The shutter speed can be automatically adjusted. The shutter speed becomes slow in dark places such as shaded areas or in a room.
