4 P owering Up the ENE2020 Plug the power supply into the po wer adapter por t on the back of the ENE2020 and connect it to your po wer source. V erify that the P ow er LED on the front of the ENE2020 is illuminated.

6 Speed On the ENE2020-P (only), switches 1 and 2 con trol the por t speed. The E1 lines each have 31 channels continually ru nning at 64 kbps for a collective bandwidth of 1,984 kbps. The timeslot configuration deter mines how many of the channels for each port will actu ally receive data.
7 Line Code Switch 4 sets the Line Code for P or ts 1 and 2 on both th e ENE2020-P and the ENE2020-S. Switch 4 controls the line code of both E1 ports (P or t 1 and P or t 2); line code f or the two por ts cannot be co nfigured independently . Line code is the E1 mode of transmission.
8 Connecting the E1 Lines The primar y feature of the ENE2020 is l oop bonding capability , although both the provider and subscriber u nits are able to f unction with a single E1 connecti on as well.
9 Connecting the Ethernet Line The 10/100BaseT Ether net P or t auto-negotia tes speed and duplex mode in accordance with the remote equipment to which it is connected; Ether net speed and duplex mode configurations cannot be config ured on the ENE20 20.

11 P o wer Solid Green ENE2020 is operational If the P ower LED is not illuminated, it is u nlikely that the ENE2020 is receiving power and theref ore none of the LEDs will be illuminated.
12 RJ45 Pin Assignments E1 RJ45 Pin Assignments If you are using a shielded E1 cable f or y our network connectio n, it must be gr ounded through pins 3, 6, 7 and 8.
