8 3.0 PPP OPE RATIONAL BACK GROUND PPP is a p rotocol used for multi-plexed transport over a point-to-po int link. PPP operates on a ll full duple x media, and is a symmetric peer-to- peer proto col, which c an be broken into three ma in compone nts: 1.

13 5.2 INSTALLING THE R EAR IM2RC/I-1 0 0B CARD AND F RONT F U NCTION CARD The Mod el IM2RC/I-10 0B is a rear-mo untable e thernet int erface card that wo rks with Patton Models 3088RC and 2 701RC acce ss product s. The t w o cards meet inside the ra ck chassis and plug into each other by way of mating 50 pin card ed ge connec tors.
