GETTING S T ARTED 1 The Monarch ® 932 stacker works with a Monarch® 9860 printe r . The stacker supports backfeed mode on the printe r . There is no power ON/OFF switch for the stacke r . Once the stacker is plugged into an outlet, it is on.
Step 1 - Installation for the 9860 Printer 1. Locate the screw hole on the stacker mounting plate. 2. Attach the adjusting bracket to the stacker mounting plate using a flanged screw as shown (do not tighten all the way). 3. Gently lift stacker and center the guide tabs in the knife opening.
Step 2 - Level the Stacker 1. Check the distance between the rollers and the knife. Make sure the rollers are not touching the front of the knife or too far from the knife. If incorrect, follow the steps below. If correct, skip this step and move on to Step 3 - Connect the Power Cord.
Step 3 - Connect the Power Cord 1. Plug the power cord into the stacker’s AC inlet. 2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a grounded outlet. Once the power cord is attached to an outlet, the stacker is on. There is no power ON/OFF switch for the stacke r .
Step 4 - Check the Alignment 1. Load supply in the printe r . For more information about loading suppl y , refer to the printer’s Operator’s Handbook or Quick Reference . 2. Set aside the tag weight. 3. Widen the guide rails to maximum width by pulling and extending the guide rails out of the grooves at the bottom of the tra y .
5. Move tag stop up and down by using your thumb to pull out slightly on the release tab and lift up until it stops. Adjust the tag stop to the length of the tags. 6. Make sure the transport lock handle is in the locked position. 7. Make sure supply is loaded and the printer is turned on.
9. Use the cut tags as a guide and adjust the guide rails back into the grooves so that they are barely touching the sides of the tag. Step 5 - Set the T ag Width 1. Set aside the tag. 2. Locate the tag weight. 3. Unlock the tag weight handle by turning the knob counterclockwise.
5. Tighten the knob. 6. Place the tag weight against the tag stop. 7. Print a test batch of 50 tags. The stacker’s LED is on when tags are moving through the stacke r . Step 6 - Set the Belt Speed. 1. Stack the tags in your hand. 2. Hold the stack against the tag gauge on the tag weight.
3. T urn the belt adjustment knob to the number from the stack. 4. Print another test batch of 50 or more. The stacker’s LED is on when tags are moving through the stacke r . Look at how the tags sit in the stacker tra y . If the tags are too: u Tight, turn the belt speed to a higher setting (higher number).

Re-Loading or Changing Supplies If you run out of supplies while printing, the printer display or keyboard shows a 756 status code. 1. Press the Feed button to feed the last tags into the stacke r . 2. Load a new roll of supplies. For more information on loading supplies, refer to the printer’s Operator’s Handbook or Quick Reference.
Stacker Running 1. Pick up some of the tags in front of the tag weight. 2. Move the tag weight against the stack. T ry not to push or compress the stack. 3. Continue to remove tags. Clearing a T ag Jam If a tag jams inside the stacke r , the printer and stacker automatically stops.
3. Use the tab to lift the transport. Check for tags. 4. Remove the tags. 5. Lower the transport. 6. Replace the transport lock handle. Make sure it is completely in the hole at the back of the stacke r . T urn the handle down to lock. 7. Press the Escape button to clear the status code.
TROUBLESHOOTING 3 Problem Action Stacker Full or 760 Warning Status Code 1. Empty the stacker tray. 2. Place the tag weight against the tag stop. 3. Press the Escape button to clear the status code. 4. Continue printing. The stacker may not be plugged into an outlet.
