Before you start 01 7 En Ventilation When installing this unit, make sure to leave space around the unit for ventilation to improve heat dispersal (at least 8 in. (20 cm) at the top). If not enough space is provided between the unit and walls or other equipment, heat will build up inside, interfering with performance and/or causing malfunctions.

Other connections 08 51 En Switching the speaker system If you selected 2nd Zone in Surround back speaker setting on page 35, three speaker system settings are possible using the SPEAKERS button. If you selected Normal (SB) or Front Bi-Amp , the button will simply switch your main speaker system on or off.
Other connections 08 52 En Bi-wiring your speakers The reasons for bi-wiring are basically the same as bi- amping, but additionally, interference effects within the wire could be reduced, producing better sound. Again, to do this your speakers must be bi-wireable (that is they must have separate terminals for the high and low frequencies).
Other connections 08 53 En Multi-room listening This receiver can power two independent systems in separate rooms after you have made the proper multi- room connections. 1 Different sources can be playing in both rooms at the same time or, depending on your needs, the same source can also be used.
