13 Brightn ess Control The brightness of the monitor may be c ontrolled automatically or manually , and the minimum brightness is adjustable. By default, the monitor is c onfigured f or automatic brightness control with a minimum brightness setting of approximat ely 250 cd/m 2 .

15 M M i i n n i i m m u u m m B B r r i i g g h h t t n n e e s s s s L L i i m m i i t t The factor y set minimum brightness is appro ximately 250 cd/m 2 . In most applications the factor y setting is desired to maintain the widest dimming range possible .
16 As with any OSD setting , a change to the minimum brightness limit will be permanently stor ed and will be unaffected by turning off the monitor po wer . The minimum brightness limit will affect the minimum brightness of both the automatic brightness control mode and the manual brightness contr ol mode identically .

Man y users will have the r equired 12VDC a vailable in their existing system. Alternativ ely , a power supply that is appropriately rated for the L C1502R is available from Planar .
21 C C o o o o l l i i n n g g K K i i t t F or outdoor applications, a c ooling kit may be desired to prev ent exc essive heating of the L CD display . In direct sunlight, the front sur face of the display (the L CD cell) may reach t emperatures well abo ve the ambient temperature .
22 T T o o u u c c h h S S c c r r e e e e n n s s The L C1502R is available with two different types of touch scr een t echnology: near field imaging (NFI) and capacitive. Both c ome pre-installed; the touch screen itself is mounted to the fr ont of the monitor and the touch screen contr oller module is mounted on the back.
