End of life directives Y our new TV contains m aterial s which ca n be recycled and r eused. At the end of your TV’ s life , specialized co mpanie s can dismant le the discarded T V to concen trate the reusable materia ls and to mi nimize the amoun t of materia ls to be dis posed of.
Using the remote contr ol T o use the remote control: • P oint the remote control towards the r emote sensor on the front of your TV . Setting up your TV Installing remote contr ol batteries T o install th e remote control batteries: 1 Remove the battery cover .
T o connect cable TV with a converter/descrambl er box: • Use the following illustration to connec t a converter/des crambler box. (The RF switch and the sign al split ter are not p rovided.) Set the RF switch to the A position to wat ch unscrambled channel s using your TV remote control.
4 Press th e INPUT button repeated ly to select the VIDEO5 input s ource, then press PC to toggle from HDMI to VGA. Using your TV T urning your TV on and off T o turn your TV on and off: 1 Make sure that the power cord i s connected to your TV and a power outlet .
For e xample, if the m ain chan nel number is 8, the sub-ch annel number might be 8- 1, 8-2, or 8-3. T o select a sub-channel : 1 Press the numbe r buttons for the main channel (for example 8). 2 Press th e – button, then pres s the sub-chann el button (for example 1).
