10 ST ART L EVER The ST ART LEVER help s to supply fuel to the engine to aid in s tarting. Ac tiv ate the star ting syst em b y mo vi ng t he s ta rt l eve r to th e ST AR T posit ion. DO NO T squeez e the thr ottle tr igger until the engine has s tar ted and runs .
11 4. Pull s tarter rope handle sharply until en- gine star ts and runs . 5. Allow unit to r un for 10 - - 15 s econds , then fully s queez e the throttle tr igger to dise n- gage the starting sys tem. ST ARTING A W ARM ENGINE 1. Squeez e and hold the thr ottle trigger.

13 Mow ing SWEEPING - - The fanning action of the rotat- ing line can be us ed for a quic k and eas y clean up. Keep the line parallel to and above the sur faces being sw ept and move the tool from s ide to s ide. Sweepin g MAINTE NANCE WAR N I NG : Dis connec t the spark plug before perfor ming maintenance except for car buretor adjustments .
14 SERVIC E AND ADJUSTMENTS REPLACING THE LINE 1. Pres s t he tabs on the side of the trimmer head and remove c over and s pool. Ta b Cover Ta p B u t t o n 2. Remov e any remaining line. 3. Clean dirt and debris from all parts . Re- place s pool if it is w orn or damaged.
15 T o adjust id le speed: Allow engine to idle. A djust s peed until engine runs w ithout trimmer head or any optional at- tachment moving or s pinning (idle t oo fas t) or engine stalling (idle s peed too s low) . S Turn idle s peed sc rew c loc kw ise to incr ease engine speed if engine stalls or dies.
