10 ADJUSTING THE HANDLE WAR N I N G : When adjusting the han- dle, be sur e it remains abov e the s afety label and below the mark or arrow on the s haft. 1. Loos en wing nut on handle. 2. R otate the handle on the s haft to an up- right pos ition; retighten w ing nut.

15 Screwdriver 3. While holding the s c rewdr iver in pos ition, remov e trimmer head by turning c lock - wis e (look ing from bottom of unit) . 4. Thr ead r eplacement trimmer head onto the shaf t by turning c ounterc lock w ise. Tighten until secur e.
16 ENGINE S Remov e spark plug and pour 1 t easpoon of 40 :1 , 2- cycle engine oil (air c ooled) through the spar k plug opening. Slow ly pull the star ter rope 8 to 10 times to distr ibute oil. S Replac e spark plug with new one of r ecom- mended type and heat range.
