9 FUELING & L UBRICA TION WAR N I N G : Remove fuel cap s low- ly w hen refueling. FU EL ING EN GINE This engine is c ertified to operate on unleaded gas oline. Befor e operation, gasoline mus t be mixed w ith a good quality sy nthetic 2-c yc le air-c ooled engine oil designed t o be mixed at a ratio of 40:1.
10 OFF HA LF CHOKE /F AST IDLE LEV ER Choke / fa st idle le ver (SIDE VIEW ) FULL 6. Pull the s tarter rope s harply with y our right hand until t he engine star ts. 7. Allow t he engine to run for appr oximately 5 s econds. Then, s queeze and releas e throttle tr igger to allow engine to r eturn to idle s peed.
11 S Releas e the throttle trigger as soon as the cut is c ompleted, allowing the en- gine to idle. If you r un the s aw at full throttle without a c utting load, unneces - sar y wear c an occ ur to the c hain, bar , and engine. S T o av oid losing c ontrol when c ut is c om- plete, do not put pres sure on s aw at end of cut .
12 S DO NO T c ut dow n a partially fallen tree with y our s aw . Be ex tremely cautious w ith partially fallen trees that may be poorly suppor ted. When a tr ee doesn’t fall c om- pletely , s et the saw as ide and pull down the tree with a cable winc h, block and tac kle, or trac tor .

15 Replac e guide bar w hen t he groove is w orn, the guide bar is be nt or crac ked , or w hen ex ce - s s hea ting or burring of the r ails oc cur s. I f re - plac ement is nec ess ary, use only the guide bar s pecified f or your s aw in t he repair part s lis t or on the decal loc ated on the c hain saw.
